Don't dwell so much on old school politics. There's nothing worse than grown adults who haven't moved on from their teenage ways of thinking!

Just drop her a line asking what she's up to these days, how things are for her now.

I may be naïve but I thought people only had ONE 'best friend'.
Are you maybe obsessing about collecting 'Best Friends'?

I've got five, we're a tight knit little group and I love them all like sisters, but I don't call them my 'BFs' because we're not 13 anymore. :o

I have a new BF, but since her at school I have never really 'clicked' with anyone other then my other BF who I have met the last 2 years.

When anyone says they have "best friends" I always think they must be about 6 years old.

'I didn't have many friends but I also had a group of 3 other friends at the time.' - that's a lot compared to how many I've got!

Looking at your current post "I just can't help myself" very surprised you have any friends at all.

I suppose I could just keep it short and simple and then if she doesn't reply then she doesn't reply, suppose if I write some long message and I don't hear back from her I'll probably have just make a fool out of myself.
People don't know what they want until you show them.

Just (as someone earlier said) say "lets have a coffee one day" or words to that effect. No need to go into heart searching messages - people often accept friends on facebook and that's as far as it goes.

Don't read too much into it. :)

I would ask what she was up to these days. You could briefly say sorry for what happened when we were kids too. Then if you keep chatting you could arrange to meet up and maybe rekindle the friendship. We've all done stupid things when we were at school so well done you for admitting it and trying to make amends!

Btw I remember the PE kit in the right carrier bag thing. It had to be Jane Norman when I was at school and I would beg my mum to go and buy stuff from there just so I could have the carrier bag :rotfl:

The meaning of 'best' doesn't allow for 5 all on the same level. :)

If 5 people all score 100% on a test, they're all the best. ;)

As I say though, I haven't referred to them that way since we were all wearing school uniforms and trying to get the best table in the canteen near the older boys!

Do adult women really think you can only have one 'bestie'? That they have to rank their closest friends like its a competition?

She's a bit feisty yes but I wouldn't of called her violent person over all - I think the emotions at the time got the better of her to be honest,

"So this doesn't sound great on her but she flipped out and we ended up having 3-4 proper fights in school I would of just walked away kind of thing but every time she saw me she basically just attacked me and on one occasion her brother punched me and then when he was pulled off me he punched a teacher...so he got expelled."

I think we might have different definitions of "violent" here, but someone who starts 3-4 "proper fights" and then gets her brother to punch people and teachers was certainly violent then, although of course she might well not be any more.
