Android problem

I keep getting a message,

'unfortunately process, android.process.acore has stopped.'
Does any one know what it means? I am just unable to use the tablet because of this continuous appearing message. Any help most appreciated.

It is a 'player momo'

Try this. Back up your contacts (because they will go)....Go into the Settings, Applications, Manage Applications, Contacts Storage, Clear data. Back to homescreen.
    Then reboot.

Just a note - if your contacts are synced with your gmail account, they will re-sync back to the phone if you system restore

    Many thanks,
So should I not sync the contacts with Google? I have restored the phone and it seems to be ok, the same problem exists with my tablet which does not have any 'Contacts', not sure what to do about the tablet.

Probably best to reset the tablet to factory settings....Then enjoy setting it up again. All your purchases from the Play store (If any) will be downloadable again.
There is no reason not to sync your contacts with Google. At least you won't lose them that way.

    STOP!!

Before you do, let me say this. I too have been plagued with :- unfortunately, the process.com google.process.gapps has stopped and have clicked OK countless times. As far as I know, it hasn't interfered with browsing. But, it is quite annoying and frustrating. I've read and posted on Android forums to no avail.

Today though, using duckduckgo I came across umpteen suggestions as hundreds of people have the same message. It seems to me that there might be a different approach required to remove this annoyance, depending on the make of tablet/phone.

In my case, when searching for a solution, I made sure I stated Galaxy Tab 3.

With a wealth of suggestions, I tried a couple to no avail, but eventually I have stumbled on one route that so far, seems to have done the trick.

Go to settings > app manager > scroll side-wards to all > then scroll down to internet > then clear data.

Once this is done, close down, allow a minute or so, then boot up again.

    It appears to work.

Like me, you might find variations to screens, but as you did when the tablet was new, organise how you prefer.

Let us know how you get on.

Yep that's the basic for any app that is not working or throwing up its process as a not working error .

    STOP STOP STOP

This did not work. It appeared to have cleared the problem, logged off for an hour, returned and withing a couple of minutes, the box had appeared three times. Logged off, returned, and it is still here. WHAT NEXT ??????

Decision made. I have only introduced 12 apps, all free. I've listed them and removed 3 of them to see how things go. (Sky news/OK/hotkdeals) if the box returns, it will show they are in the clear, but instead of re-installing them, will remove another three and see what happens.

It may be that I remove all 12 and the message still pops up, at least it will show it isn't them.

    Deleted thus far :-

    OK-Sky-Hotukdeals then
    Yahoo mail app then
    Fastburstcamera app then
    Google play (built in app)

    and still the notification arrives.
