It's a mystery....and another thing - when they look up the refund price, they go by the despatch date, not the order date, so if your orders all took at least 10 days to get to you like mine did, you may want to check to make sure you get back what you paid!

I'm livid with M&S! I'll never order from them again!

I've called a zillion times, my order was finally 'cancelled' on friday as they only had 1 item in stock, but on sunday i got an email saying the order was dispatched. I called again today to say that my understanding was that I was not going to get anything and that I don't want the items anymore. As usual, they blamed the system, not an apology, nothing!

A manager is supposed to call me (not holding my breath), but I don't know what to do with the items when they arrive... any suggestions?

I think we should all complain and then hopefully that might get things back to how it used to be with Marks before they altered their website!

I'm so apalled with them! They're just useless!

Update: items were delivered today, I was out, so they were just thrown into the garden...

What's the best way to return them? Should I post them or return them in-store?

Refund is quicker if you take them to the store, but make sure you get back what you paid for things!

I found out yesterday that I am not getting any of the sale items (I only ordered 10 in the end though) and 3 'normal' items are not coming either, I ordered these 19th July and had heard nothing re despatch/delays etc. Apparently the 'system' sold hundreds of people the same item even if there was only 1 left. I asked for compensation/discount and they have credited account with £20 so I am quite happy. Obviously I would rather have had my items and not had the hassle waiting etc but £20 is not bad and I didnt have to write a letter like you have to with some companies.

It is the worst service I have ever received from M&S though. I want to order some school uniform items but will they arrive before they start school, even though they say in stock & 1-2 days delivery??? I think I'll look elsewhere.....
