They said the same thing to me too when my order got cancelled, that things were out of stock. BUT I said that how can all the items have been out of stock already when I placed my order early in the morning on the sale day, before the sale banner had even showed up on the web page?  My sister received her order and she placed it late in the afternoon after a lovely long lie in!!!

There was quite a few items marked down to 75% in my local store today. Most sizes were either 8's or 10's or 18 and 20's but this is a small store so you may have more luck in the bigger store.
I did manage to get a nice pair of jeans reduced from £35 to £9, but there wasn't a great deal in the 12 and 14 sizes
Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves
  • Has anyone else had their order they put in during the recent sale deleted from their account.

I got an email a couple of days ago to say some items weren't available. I logged on to My Account and found they have now deleted my entire order, no history of it logged at all.

I have contacted M&S but no reply.

I am so frustrated, they did this to me at Christmas as well. Each time I placed the order within an hour of the sale coming online. I can't believe the items have gone out of stock so quickly and that everyone else placing orders after me found these items were also out of stock and cancelled.

I seriously think this is the last time I bother with this company. You spend an hour or two of your time shopping on their site and then bang the entire order is deleted.

Anyone else had this problem, anyone had a response from their queries if you have contacted them?

My order was cancelled too. Have emailed them to complain but haven't had a reply yet.

Popped into Southampton and Hedge End stores yesterday and today and picked up a few bargains, mostly for my baby daughter but a couple of skirts for me too in sizes 10 and 12. Women's stuff is mainly 50% - 75% off but kids stuff all reduced to £3 or under, I got one baby dress for £1! Loads of baby bodysuits in packs of 8 reduced to £3 in the Hedge End store this morning, handy if you've got a baby on the way or up to six months old.

Yes, I have posted on the thread shown above. Very annoyed with them, especially as I got the email saying it was cancelled yesterday - the day I was waiting in for my order to arrive! I sent an emailing complaining yesterday but haven't heard anything yet, expect they are innundated with complaints.

Really really bad service from M&S - I expected so much more from them.

me too, only they never let me know, when i saw the other thread I rang them. was told all items out of stock, asked to speak to a manager, was told none available, so have sent a letter, asking for an explanation.
pee'd off. esp as they had took the money, its been refunded, but thats not the point.

I had ordered school wear on the 3 4 2 offer and got an e-mail say one or two were out off stock. On checking my account only one item had been cancelled but as a result of this I was missing out on the free item and the free delivery and 2 packs of shirts were going to cost £25.50 instead of £22 for the 3 items. I phoned customer services and she reduced the shirts by a third and gave me free delivery. Result!

M&S do this all the time. It's what you expect from one of the UK's largest and best regarded retailers. Not.
