  • I haven't really bothered with buying off their internet site this time. I went into the Peterborough store today and they still had loads of sale stuff left and most of it had been reduced down again so I got loads of stuff so was v. happy!

    Do you mind if I ask if orders were cancelled/lost AFTER they showed as despatched? I've had my first order delivered but the one I placed the day after is showing at different stages - the 3 things I really want are now saying despatched (but for delivery 24-27 July?) and the rest is showing as not yet despatched, with expected delivery dates of 24-26 July (eh?) and one of 11 August.
    Not sure how worried/cross to be yet. I don't mind too much about the later stuff but will be furious if the one with the 3 things I'm waiting for doesn't turn up.

    What really upsets me is I bought a variety of things from different departments on the site, and I cannot believe for a second that my items went out of stock within the first two hours, and that people who ordered later on also went without, I think there was some very unfair practices in their alloting stock items.

    They really have upset me this time, they messed up my wedding list a few years ago and it took me ages to be prepared to come back to them and now not only did they cancel the order at Christmas, but they do it to me again. Very poor for such a big retailer who have only just supposedly brought their fortunes back around again. If they think they can treat their customers like this I think they deserve another bad blip
  • I'm after a bikini that isn't in the sale, is there going to be more stuff added? Surely all bikini's will have to go in as the summer season ends? Or do M&S sell bikini's all year?

    I was given a set date for delivery and waited in. When I checked my emails they said that the items were not being dispatched that day. I phoned up but could not get a direct answer and when I phoned yesterday was told that they were all out of stock but that 15 pounds had been added to my account for the inconvenience. Some of the items were wedding clothes for the following day so I had to dash out and buy some full price items that evening.

    Yet another disappointed M&S customer. I went in-store on the first day (19th), there were hardly any boys clothes and nothing I wanted. so I placed an order online. checked the order, it stated items would be dispatched soon estimated del date 24-26 July. Rang up today, guess what all out of stock. have been credited £20 off next order which will not make up the difference but is better than nothing I guess.

    Edited to add, I was also told this is a known problem. why on earth could they not run a check on availability of goods for all outstanding orders and email us to say orders will not be fulfilled? I was told they only become aware there is a problem when customer rings up to check - this is pathetic.

    M&S have taken £44 from my bank account today although my items are out of stock!

    I have rung up to complain and was told the money is on the way back to me - but it never should have left in the first place.

    According to the cc operator, the order was cancelled on the 27th (Friday) but I received no email, and the money was taken from my bank account on Monday. the bloke tried to blame my bank for the money being taken!!!

    I am awaiting a call back from M&S now but I am absolutely tamping and I really dont know what to say/demand when they ring back. Any ideas?

    Well, I have been expecting an email or phone call as I placed an order on the first day of the sale and have heard nothing, but I have just had an email saying my goods have been dispatched so maybe I have been lucky. We will see, i wont believe it until I have them in my little mits !:D

    Just phoned to check my order that was made about 7.00 am on first day of sale and all out of stock and no order for me!! Say they are sending me some vouchers as compensation! To be honest would rather have had the items I ordered.

    Who else is having problems with M&S orders?

    Just called, for the third time. I ordered on the 19th, with 10% off and free delivery. Then last week one item was out of stock and without it, the amount didnt quialify for free delivery so it was being charged. I called to complain. Today I've checked and while that was ammended, the amount being discounted for the 10% off has misteriously gone down! Initially i had 2.60 off and now only 1.20! (even after the item cancelled it should have merely gone down to 2.40 as it was a £2 thing). And their response? Our system is down, call back in one hour... I'm furious!!!
