Its really infuriating to read how many of you have been let down by M & S sale online orders not being honoured. I had problems a few years back, and got so worked up I spoke at great length to the IT Manager, Customer Services Director and eventually Managing Director level at Head Office. The outcome was they admit they knew they had a problem, but it was being addressed. I had bouquets of flowers delivered as a gesture of goodwill, credit vouchers etc but I was generally agrieved by the whole situation, that the system can treat customers in this way. I am dismayed to learn these problems are still ongoing, and disappointing many of their customers. If NEXT can manage it, then I am sure M & S can too. I ordered new items which had been added to the NEXT online sale yesterday evening and they were all delivered by 11am this morning - they deserve their success. Unless you can put your hands on a sale item in a M & S store, don't hold out too much hope of receiving it .......

Pants at M&S only still received 2 items, one cancelled by them where the rest and where my reply to my email ??Clothes are getting tattier anyway especially for kids, might not bother for the sale next time around, like previous posted says Big Hands up to Next they are great for getting ordrs out

Someone should send this thread to somebody very high up at M&S and they can see what Joe Public think of them (says me after my order was cancelled as well after spending ages on their site the morning of the sale - the annoying thing was I ordered a lovely bedspread that had about £100 off and saw it in the sale later that day instore - didn't buy it as I thought I'd got one online GRRRRRRR!)

My story is the same as everyone else's - placed order early morning on first day of sale, expected delivery 24-26 July but no sign of it. I haven't had chance to phone CS until today, the person I spoke to confirmed everything was out of stock and as a gesture of goodwill they will give me £25 off my next order.

Obviously receiving the order would have been better but I do appreciate the offer. They must be giving away a fortune to all the customers who have been let down.

Hi all
similar storyline here. I ordered two suits on 20th July, although not in the sale (Total value of £498), and received email saying expected delivery would be 26th - 30th July.
Rang CS, as no delivery on the 26th, and was informed that both the trousers were out of stock. Queried why I wasn't informed when I placed the order and was told that they had installed a new system and were having problems. Not too happy with the answer, I asked to speak to a manager. Give M&S their due, soemone did call me that evening, although by now, both the trousers AND the jackets were out of stock. However, I was offered a 'higher priced' suit for the price I'd originally paid. I declined and they offered me £50 M&S vouchers. I asked for £75, and they accepted.
Amazingly, received an email the next day to say order (both suits) had been despatched, and this duly arrived the next day. Am currently awaiting the vouchers.

Moral of the story.......
if dissapointed with the service, ALWAYS complain, and NEVER accept the first offer.

Went to M&S Brent Cross yesterday but absolutely nothing left in the sale.

Where does it all go? There was loads left last week.
