You can actually just select "City" models on Autotrader which makes comparisons much easier.

SonIndecided to do a search in Scotland to see how that compares to the totally different market in London (small economical city cars being in huge demand in London)

    And found this

    http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201602040699212?maximum-age=up_to_3_years_old&onesearchad=used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew&search-target=usedcars&model=picanto&make=kia&quantity-of-doors=3&page=1&radius=200&postcode=PA28%206QP&sort=default&searchcontext=default&body-type=hatchback&aggregatedTrim=City&logcode=p

    A year older than mine.

Most where 2013 models to be fair and I struggled to find like for like at Main Dealers.

I did find this at Fords of Winsford (another long standing Car Supermarket)

    http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201512019125752?radius=200&model=picanto&maximum-age=up_to_3_years_old&make=kia&page=4&aggregatedTrim=City&onesearchad=used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew&sort=default&searchcontext=default&body-type=hatchback&postcode=PA28%206QP&quantity-of-doors=3&search-target=usedcars&logcode=p

Sadly almost a £1000 more than mine.

I am happy with the deal I got.

Just as you are more than happy with the deal you got on your car.

Obviously you will have more fun in yours, but the Picanto was bought for the Business primarily and for my daughter secondly.

We will have it paid off in two years (that's the plan by putting aside an extra payment every month) and do the same again when my son hits 17. Though I suspect he might not be that happy with a Picanto, maybe a Ka/Citigo/Up/Twingo or similar.

This whole thread though does show the variations of car pricing, and if it helps one person save a few quid then it's all good.

My next car will be a direct import from Japan anyway, I have not been in a Subaru for far too long. And I have a need for. Legacy estate or Outback.

I wasnt "proving a point", just demonstrating that other cars were cheaper from other dealers, and that that one might be the cheapest for that particular Focus, but they werent necessarily the cheapest for all cars.

Might have got the spec a bit wrong on that one - Picantos arent my Forte.

    You are missing out then.

The City has a leather steering wheel and gearknob don't you know, my daughter wants the calipers painting Red for the extra "25kw".

If you ever need a little shopping trolley of a car I can recommend the Picanto, suspension is a bit hard, but it does handle like a go cart, reminds me of a proper old school Mini. A little bit thrummy and a little noisey at speed but not in an unpleasant way.

And it is surprisingly roomy in the back, my kids reckon it is better than the 1 Series. More on par with the Clio. Which is a nice surprise as I never paid much attention to the rear seats.

Not as irrelevant as you might think! My FIL was in the market for a city car before christmas there, so i'd to do the trawling around.

Didnt really delve in to Kias much but maybe should have.

Having said that, we found him a really nice 9 month old Nissan Note for a good price so hes sorted now.
