Our girls are adults and don't live at home, they rent their homes. I've been unable to work for the last 8 years due to permanent spine damage. I can't get a job because of "health and safety" rules. We cannot claim any help for anything but at least I can get free prescriptions now that I'm over 60.

As far as the foreigners are concerned well I have my opinions but I'm not going to say what they are!
If your claiming free prescriptions because your over 60 then you should be entitled to your State Pension as well.
  • I can't claim my pension until nov 2015 because of the govt. changing the retirement age.

If that's the case I'd have thought that the same would apply to prescriptions - instead of claiming at 60 you would have to wait until Nov 2015 when your State Pension kicks in.

When I was at the JC as well, there were a load of what sounded like Russians there who have probably been in the country for 5 mins and will get payment, whereas I was born here, worked here with no significant work breaks and get sweet fanny adams!

    !

If they are Russians then they won't be getting a penny.

If they are workers from Poland they are probably in greater need than someone who has a partner in work...
