I am repping my girlfriend with regards to her fees as she is naive about all of this and doesn't want to get picked to pieces in court. So I said I will prepare her case.
After months of waiting around going through the processes.... we have a court date for the 2nd week of September. Now I know ive been told Nationwide pull out at the last minute or don't turn up but I still want to prepare.
Having never gone to court before I would like to know what to prepare and what the process when I get there?0 -
After what happened with OFT in July I sent a letter of intent to Nationwide saying that I still plan to go to court and let the judge decide whether to suspend the hearing until the test case has gone through.
And to also stand firm that going to court is not a problem as I am taking actions to prepare.0 -

I have been going through many threads looking for help on how to make a defense if/when my case goes to court.
Is there anyone who has successfully defended thier case that can provide information as to how to make a 'successful' defense? If so, what documents did you provide? Did anyone give you any advise you could pass on?
Many Thanks

Can I check did you bring the case against the bank?As I am not the Pope or legally qualified I may be wrong so feel free to get a second opinion from a qualified person0 -
If you are talking about bank charge reclaiming, you are not the Defendant, so you don't "defend" the case.
You would be the Claimant, so you need to set your case out very carefully - details of which can be found on this site and www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk also.
Don't rush into court action until you are sure you understand the process.0 -
Sorry, I should have been clearer!
I am the claimant and want to 'properly prepare' for this case (just awaiting a date or adjournment - either way I'm gonna hold out!)0 -
You need to search this forum for "court bundle".Reclaimed thanks to this site:
£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH0 -
