  • Can someone please explain the process of getting through the Gym doors once the insurance policy is in place?
Do you go along to the Gym with policy details and ask to sign up without a charge?

The article doesn't explain much beyond the point of signing up to pru health.
    Thanks.

Contact Pru Health with your policy number and ask for gym membership to be set up. You will pay a one off £25.00 admin fee and then you will pay £25.00pm for the first 3 months if you use the gym more than 2x a week the next 3 months gym membership will be free 1x aweek the next 3 months will cost you £25.00pm and less than 1x aweek gym membership will cost you £35.00. Thus the cost of your membership is reviewed each quarter depending on how much you use the gym.
  • Can someone just confirm if you do get 300 points for a fitness assessment? I've only been credited with 110 points, although I've only emailed them my results today. So the 110 points must have been credited by the gym registering my fitness assessment with Pruhealth.

I need 40 points by Friday in order to reach platinum by renewal! So I could really do with the full 300 points for my fitness assessment rather than the 110 they've credited me so far which leaves me short of reaching platinum.

yes, I got 300 points after they received the fax, although the fax went missing three times before they told me they'd finally got it!

I got 300 as well. Have you done stress centre, routinetics, self-help & meal plan?
  • I think I've done all of those. I'm due another 30 points for gym visits; I'm going to be so annoyed if I end up just 10 points short of platinum!! But as I did my fitness assessment on the 23rd November, I really should be credited my 300 points before December. I'll give them a call later today to see if they've received my faxed or emailed fitness assessment results.

Darn, just got statement through and I was 5 visit short for the quarter so paying £25 pm for the next quarter which totally eats into the quidco cashback.

This new job is killing me - I thought I would have no problem doing 2-3 visits a week but it is so hard finding gym time!!

Why did you wait for your statement to come? You could have just gone onto the Pruhealth website and checked how many visits you needed.

I did this and I ended up going for a swim every day for 2 weeks.
  • If I'm already a member with LA Fitness (with 7 months left on contract) how do I get it organised through PruHealth? I've asked them twice on email and have never received a reply.
    Thanks.

I do that & put the days I visited the gym on my diary as well with numbers Gym1, gym2 etc.

Perhaps going early in the morning before work might be an option if you are too busy...

I do also check the website (see previous posts). Finding time to go to the gym was/is the issue
