It is Gok apparently ...I think he's great down to earth .
Might even cancel my leave from work just so I'll be there when he s around ...
my self esteem is low .. Don't know if I could cope xx

WOW! What a great opportunity! I think it would boost my self esteem if I had a small team of people just to make me look fabulous :D. The mirror test wearing nought but my undies may not be a high point however the rest would make up for it ;)

I would love a make over like that, but only if it would never be shown on tv :)

Just seen on grabbit that sainsburys clothes are 25% off from Tuesday. I would normally dash down there and buy whatever I fancied, but now I'm looking at my coordinated wardrobe, I'm not sure there's much that I need :D (this is a revelation for me!)

I did get a cream/beige jacket in the post today, although it's a bit tight. Not sure if I should send it back or hang on to it for if/when I lose weight....

Same here Betty; I would be absolutely mortified if I had to be on TV.

I am finding the same also with the wardrobe situation; I bought a pair of black work trousers yesterday but there's little else I need just now when I look at what I already have. It really is a turnaround for me and I don't want to go out and buy random things that don't fit into the plan. It makes shopping easier too, as you can just hone in on the things you do want and avoid all the other distractions.

It has also helped focus my mind on getting things with a good fit too, I tried on a skirt which was just a tiny bit too tight across the hips; I surprised myself with unusual wave of sensibleness and I quashed all stupid thoughts that I might be able to lose a couple of pounds and make it fit.

Time has flown by and time already for hairdressers again today - although its come around a week earlier this time due to it being Easter next weekend.

  • Morning ladies , going to tackle my wardrobe today .
Got things there in all sorts of states from brand new to paint splattered and still I wear black trousers and a black top to work most days.
Moisturised everyday and wore make up 3 days to work so big improvement there .
The producers of the show came to work yesterday put a microphone on me & asked that I tell them who I'd nominated and why .
    So I hope I make someone's day ...
I just did a quick scan in my wardrobe I seem to have a lot of coral colour there
Going to look into a capsule wardrobe when I'm further down the line
No idea where to start at the minute
Any ideas would be welcomed !!

In terms of capsule wardrobe, I tried to figure out which colours suited me (there are lots of websites which offer free colour analysis guides). Then what style clothes would suit me best.
Then I went on websites such as

    http://theviviennefiles.blogspot.co.nz/
    http://redandlipstick.blogspot.se/
    http://theproject333.com/

(suggested by a MSE member :) ) to get inspiration for clothes combinations etc.

At the moment my "capsule wardrobe" is huge, but I'm slowly reducing it and trying to get to the point where many of my clothes are interchangable so I never open it and think "I've nothing to wear"
  • That's what I'm aiming for , so nothing's wasted & I'll always have some thing to wear .
Maybe that would include buying something more expensive than I normally would but then if it'd see a few years would work out cheaper per wear ..
Thank you for the links xx

Well last night I gave myself a mini makeover :D I [STRIKE]over plucked[/STRIKE] tidied my eyebrows, dyed my hair and moisturised. Nice to be grey free today!

The eating has gone better too and I made a vat of tasty Carrot and Coconut soup which is delicious and my favourite soup ever from The Quince Tree blog. Also snacked on oat cakes and fruit instead of chocolate which was a good start. What healthy snacks should I keep in the house?

Exercise has been a no go as my DS is quite demanding so by the time he goes to bed I am tidying up and going to bed just after him :rotfl: I think though I will need to just go out and make sure I have a brisk walk each day at least. Maybe start shredding again, although that is quite a thought :rotfl:

Rummer, I keep things like sugar snap peas & carrots in house as they are great with little baby tubs of hummous(good fats not to be avoided) and because they are both crunchy you feel like you are really eating,

I also keep plain mixed nuts and seeds to munch on, again good fats.
