  • When you call and just want the points without the hassle of a quote, make sure your 'renewal date' is after August 17th... mine wasn't and the chap asked me to call back on July 17th as the points offer would still be on then...

I got thru in about a minute and when i mentioned the flyer and 500 free clubcard points for a car insurance quote he simply said he'd add the points without the quote! Top spot!!!!

Straight through on the 0113 number (which seems to be a general switchboard for a range of products, so say you'd like Tesco Insurance). She asked whether I really wanted the insurance or just the clubcard points. I said just the points, so she took my details and added them. Took no more than 2 mins!

I phoned the 0113 number and asked for car insurance. I was put through immediately to a menu selection where eventually a young man told me that the quotes were only available for those renewing in the next 30 days. However he told me that the same clubcard points deal is available on the Tesco Website and allows for renewals up to 90 days, good for those of us who don't want to stretch the truth or at least not too much.

Just got straight through on the 0113 number straight away and obtained quote, but insurance is due for renewal on the 17th. Very pricey !!!

Also found 0113 390 4000 switchboard. No problem. Gave them my car details and tesco card number. quote took a few minutes. Quite a good quote. But don't need it yet. 500 points Thanks for that tip

I just called and was told they couldn't quote me as more than 30 days til renewal. They then asked if I was just calling for the points (I thought oh dear, caught!). I said yes, and he said OK, I can't quote you but will just give you the points anyway. Will be interested to see if they turn up on my statement!
  • Just called via the 0113 number and given the points (I hope) without a quote by giving my name, address and DOB. Bargain!

This is the easiest 500 points ever gained! Hubby phoned up, was told he couldn't have quote as his insurance was not up for renewal for a while, but he would get the points anyway! Lovely chubbly, many thanks!
