There are no parking restrictions at the store I use so I shouldn't imagine it's a universal thing.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

this can't be every store - because there is nothing like that in any of the one's I've been in - and how will they contact you? have they hacked into DVLA to find out the addresses registered to the cars that have overstayed their welcome?:AA/give up smoking (done)0 -

Some stores do have parking restrictions, generally similar to those used by MacDonalds where their camera records your registration and time of entry into the carpark and then records it again on your exit. If the time lapse is more than the allotted time then you will get a ticket through the post. The owners details are obtained from a "service" that the DVLA provide at a fee to councils & car park companies.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

For some reason folks in the UK see Aldi as a downmarket supermarket yet in Germany it is the equivalent of Sainsbury's. I just love Aldi, there may be some things that I cannot get in there so shop around elsewhere but most of my shopping is done there.
Was at mum's today and had a cheese sandwich for lunch and asked her where she got the cheese from, she told me it was Aldi's Medium Cheddar at £1.95 and that their Mature Cheddar is nicer than Cathedral City and a lot cheaper. Looks like I will be buying my cheese in there from now on.:D0 -
I lived abroad and hadn't heard of most of the brands so I thought Aldi would be just the same as that. I absolutely love it - I don't think we would be able to live half as well without there, H Bargs and £shop. I always try and base my meals around Aldi Super 6 and the children love the crisps (the cheese puffs are 99p for 10 packs when W*****s are over £3 in our local Tesco for 12 packs). Great shop0

We have started using Aldi on a regular basis since the start of this year and apart from a piece of lamb which was of poor quality we have enjoyed everything we have bought. Mainly I am saving money every week and we are not starving!! Don't have car parking issues that other posters seem to experience.:j I belong to Mike's Mob :j0

Our store had no parking restrictions either. I don't like paying for carrier bags though. I always forget mine lol.
I've just came back from aldi this morning. I love their own brand cereals and bread. The continental meats and cheeses are great. I'm usually fussy when it comes to laundry detergent but last week I bought their own brand Almat bio washing liquid, it cost £2.19 and I tell you what it was great.
I personally think their fruit and veg is crap. It's always old and stale. You can get some bargains in the super six range though.0 -
I'm a fan of Aldi as well. Since I discovered it, I haven't been to Tescos, so that'll be a few years now. In my nearest town we have Aldi, Sainsburys, Iceland and Waitrose. I don't go to Iceland at all, as I've never found anything in there that I like. The Sainsburys is dirty, with some rude staff and expensive. Even Waitrose is cheaper than Sainsburys! I do most of my shopping in Aldi, but there are some bits I buy in Waitrose due to Aldi not stocking a lot of Gluten Free stuff.
I can't think of anything I've bought in Aldi that I didn't like. The staff are nice and when it gets busy, they open more tills. Some of my colleagues and friends refuse to go in there, as they're convinced it's cheap and nasty. More savings for me, I guess0 -
Curry ketchup - Bramwells is the brand name - how could I forget to mention that before?? Gorgeous!0

I love:
Breaded Goats Cheese (Yummy with Lettuce and Cranberry Sauce) - (The other two Breaded cheese in this range were a bit plastic and heavy on the stomach)
Cheese Triangles are okay.
Everyday Mature Cheddar is yum.
Icecream (Magmum type with Caramel) was lovely.
Fishcakes are great and not just the Specially Selected ones.
Salmon Fillets in a Ginger and Lime Marinade was yummy.
Cereal is on par with Kellogg etc.
Jive, Dreamies, Bubble chocolate is yum.
Plain Chocolate covered Marzipan is delicious.
Steak is nice.
Garlic and Herb Spatchcock chicken is delicious.
Everyday Essential Sausages were okay.
Yoghurt are nice. I buy the Fruit/Biscuit corner ones.
The Everyday Value Apple juice tastes a bit weird. But I just add a little water and it freshens it up. (OJ and Apple juice are the same price as tesco cheapest.)
Just be careful with the fruit and veg. The bananas can be a bit bruised and I have had a rotten sweet potato before.
SMA Formula Milk is the cheapest here too and the nappies are similar to pampers.
As a previous poster has commented - The Mirror does a £5 off a £40 Aldi shop every Last Thursday of the month, the voucher lasts just under a week so if you get a lot from Aldi you might as well grab two. It also has a selection of other money off coupons to use. You must give your coupons to the cashier before they start slinging your shop through. And make sure they apply the coupons as sometimes they forget.
At our Aldi we find it difficult to park midday and veg can be non-existent if you go late. If you need a special trolley (disabled, child car seat) we have needed to use two tokens as people are just plain inconsiderate and we have had to shuffle the trolleys around.
Always remember to take re-usable bags - aldi charge for bags and it would be pointless shopping at aldi then buying bags. Once we forgot bags/didnt have enough - it just goes in the boot as it <- Scrimper! The 'Save 12k in 2014' Challenge: £639/ £8,000 (#208)
