Are you including your mortgage payments in the debt repaid figure? That seems to be going down which is good so you have not fallen into the trap of consolidating on to your mortgage.

I'm not sure if you've read the whole thing? (I don't blame you if you haven't lol)
But yes every month when I post how much I've paid off its split into the debt and the mortgage, so the totals paid off each year won't add up.

Also like I posted a while back we had to get a boiler as ours died, it needed all new pipes etc which was £5000, also after living here for 9 years we could no longer take the horrible sitting room, and sofas that were that broken they were causing pain when you sat on them, so got the sitting room decorated and new sofas

Add that to the fact my OH is having another mental breakdown and I lost one of my best friends to cancer on the 31st Jan last year (she was 34 by the way) I did have a period of f@@k it last year and booked our first holiday abroad with the kids and a few other little trips cos I thought sod it

Fear not I'm still paying no interest on any of it (first-year and a half was sorting that out) but thanks for your post

I skim read it and saw you moved a lot to 0% in 2015. Haven’t got any further yet but will read the rest shortly.

£5k sounds a lot for a boiler but definitely necessary. We changed ours to a combi two years ago which cost around £3k installed by local plumber.

Having it all on 0% is good but the debt is now so high it leaves you vulnerable if either of you were unable to work or were ill. Just something to consider although obviously there would be the option of a DMP if that happened. It can sometimes lull you into a false sense of security by getting 0% credit especially if you have high debt. It is almost as if people think I must be fine as I am still getting 0% deals so I would caution against letting the credit cards and unsecured debt go any higher as none of us know what is around the corner. Also even if you are only paying minimums that level of debt must be impacting on your disposable income each month never mind the shuffling and BT fees to keep it all at 0%.

Are you saving for the holiday?

Sorry about your friend and your OHs health. Is the debt impacting on his mental health?

No, I deal with all the debt side of things, so it’s not related to that.

Yeah it was ancient the boiler, a very old back boiler, so needed doing, needs must and all that.

We have secure jobs, but thanks for your concern, I do have it under control.

    Afternoon all,

How is everyone today? work for me today, just finished tucking into leftover sunday dinner for my lunch, it was yummy but now I need a nap.

Another NSD for me, I literally think I only spend money on a tuesday which is my £1 bingo lol and then of course the weekly shop, which is good

OH still pulling together a load of stuff to ebay, and I need him to go in the loft to get the last of the happyland toys out, then I can get them listed on ebay, trying to decide on whether to do one bulk auction for them, or sell them in their sets, I will have a think about it

Have a good day all xx

    Afternoon all

How is everyone doing? it's mine and OH's 11 year anniversary today :)

We are treating ourselves to a chinese from our fav restaurant (that we rarely get to go to) but as a take out as we don't have baby sitters, been saving pennies for it.

Kids had their swimming lesson earlier they both did really well.

We were meant to be starting to clear the side of the house away with the bushes but it's done nothing but rain, so that's been delayed, need to crack on cos I need to start planting things (seeds), this year, I am going to grow Potatoes, Strawberries, Courgettes, Peppers, Tomatoes, Chilies and I am getting two dwarf patio cherry trees (early birthday present) so I am excited about all that :)

Hope you all have a good day xx

    Morning all

How is everyone today? It's a bit cold here today, the sun is out now, so I am hoping it will warm things up so we can get cracking with the side of the house, I am very conscious that the birds are starting to gather things to make their nests, and I won't take the bushes down if there is a nest in there, so we need to really get cracking before they start doing that (we have loads of privet hedge in the garden that they nest in, so don't worry I am not kicking them out of their home lol)

DS has a couple maths tests to do, and then they need a bath/shower, other than that, not much going on, asda has just been, no spare money from shopping this week to overpay.

I hope everyone has a good day xx

    Morning everyone,

How is everyone today? I have been planning the kids birthday parties, their birthdays are 3 weeks apart they are going to be 5 and 8, they both wanted to do clip and climb, so we've decided to hire the whole place (25 slots) and they can share the invites out, DS said there is only 8-10 people he wants to invite so DD can have the rest of the slots bless him

I got a lovely email at work from my boss to say I had been awarded a reward and recognition voucher :) for my commitment to the business and helpfulness woo hoo, so I chose a £20 costa card (for me and OH to have guilt free coffee when we are on our trip to London) and a £30 amazon one :)

I have ordered my seeds, so they should be coming soon, and some of them need sowing straight away.

Speaking of costa, I have finally got back into my app (I couldn't remember any of the log in as we had two cards) and I have enough points on there for 2 free coffees yay lol

Little bit of housework to do here then I am going to chill today, it's miserable outside and soaking wet!

Have a good day all xx

Well I have had the most boring day at work ever!!! All the systems are down and have been since before I came in at 8am, I am soooooo bored, there is literally nothing we can do with no system!

OH has some things to stick on ebay, so I need to do that at some point this week.might stick them on on thursday for 10 days so they end on sunday night. Just need to sort the descriptions out.

I have a lovely homemade curry in the slow cooker today, can't wait to get home and have that for my tea.

I hope everyone has had a good day xx
