    Hey all,

How is everyone doing? we are plodding along here, DD had her birthday, she loved all her presents, she was overwhelmed with her birthday cake (she loves the grinch and I had got a grinch cake topper for her cake with her name on)

Bills are plodding along nicely :) no massive overpayments yet, still crossing the fingers that OH gets a wage rise at the end of this month lol

I started doing T25 (intense 25 minute workout five days a week) four days ago, I LOVE it, it kills me, I feel like I am dying when I am doing it, but I am loving it, loving how I feel already after 4 days, I will be doing it 4 days a week (my non working days) as I can't fit it in on a work day, but I am sure 4 days is better than 0 days lol

I've got my tomato plants out in the green house, and moved one of my courgettes onto a bigger pot, the rest haven't sprouted yet, I need to get my potatoes outside but it is so dark out there and looks like it is going to lash down any min, so not sure that is going to happen today

DD has a party at three, other than that its going to be a chilled out day, I was up at half 6 so have done loads already lol
    xx

    Good afternoon all

Still going strong with T25, was cardio today, man it's a killer but I love Cardio :)

OH had his car insurance renewal through, they are so annoying!!! We paid £400 this year, and they wanted to put it up to £563!!!! I did a price comparison and added business use (turns out OH can get mileage back for the many miles he drives for work to and from all his offices but he needs business insurance) and his current insurer came up at £318!!!! It's shocking!

So he has rang them and told them he doesn't want the renewal but wants this lower quote which they have done for us, so that's a nice saving, we had managed to save up for it as well so have paid it in one go, which frees up more money each month (I am trying to get the amount of DD's we have down)

Oh and OH got a wage increase this month yay, I thought he would :)

Not much else going on today, just about to get the kids tea, and I need to marinade some chicken for my tea later

Have a good day all xx

Hi kindofagilr, thought id stop by to say hi! I haven't read your whole diary but bits here and there.

I share a birthday with your daughter - hope she had a lovely day!

I always get so mad when insurers try to bump up the renewal price year on year. It's infuriating! Glad your husband put his foot down and got the lower price.

Aww I hope you had a good day as well :)

I know, it's really annoying and so cheeky, happens every year as well, we've actually been with the same insurer for three years now but every year we have to ring them, such a pain xx

    Good afternoon all,

    How is everyone doing?

Weigh day here, I started doing slimming world from home 5 weeks ago, and started T25 workouts 2 weeks ago, I've lost 1lb this week bringing my total to 8lb, I can already see a difference in my shape thanks to the workouts :) I love it!!

Started Christmas savings at work as well (wanted to get all the birthdays out of the way, we have loads at the start of the year then none other than mine after May), so I have put £70 in to that, we also have £70 amazon vouchers due to us returning a faulty fitbit and choose to have it in vouchers, we are due some from shop and scan but I am at work and can't remember my log in for that lol so will update that later in the week when I've checked, I will be keeping them for Christmas too

Also have a box in my bedroom lol and when mam wants something added to my online weekly shopping order, when she pays me I put it straight in there, and I had a count the other day and we have £40 in there already, I am keeping that for our christmas dinner food money, as we splash out at christmas and get our meat and gravy from M&S

Not much else to report at the moment

Have a nice day all xx

Great that you're thinking about Christmas spends already! There must be something in the water as my post this morning on my own diary was about my credit union Christmas saver :) It's nice to store up some funds so it doesn't hit too hard when the time comes. It's an expensive time of year.

Well done on the weight loss!

Stayed the same weight wise this week, my head wasn't in anything, I was really low and depressed so just ate what I wanted, not bad things, but not tracking it iyswim, I still did my T25 workouts cos I love them :)

I asked my mam if she would like to go on holiday with us next year (she is a single person, and last holiday was 2009 for my brothers wedding, she likely won't get to go again if not with me or my brother) so she said she would love to :)

So we have booked a villa in Cyprus for two weeks in August next year, and the company also does flights as a package, mam has paid the deposit, so now I have 12 months to pay our share off, which I predict I can do with 20 weekends of overtime. I used to it all the time before I had kids, so will be weird doing it again, but means I can still have a holiday while also paying off £10-£12k a year in debt and £3k a year in mortgage, so sometime in March we should have the money or nearly have it

Our fishpond has a leak :( it was just made out of pond liner plastic, so we think it has holes somewhere, so I have sacrificed the £70 amazon vouchers I had saved and have bought a preformed hard plastic pond to replace it, as we have four fish in there, so they need a new pond, if we didn't have fish I wouldn't have bothered lol

OH also has some good work news, he is going to be doing a degree in teaching. his work have offered to put him through one, he already does a code club after work (at work) on a thursday, they want him to start doing them on saturday for 3 hours a day, and he will be paid sessional tutor rate and mileage, so that would be about £50 every saturday which isnt to be sniffed at :) we need to get some things sorted like moving the kids swimming from sat to sunday once the pool has space, as I dont drive so cant get the kids there, and he wants the kids and me to go some saturdays to this code lesson. Also we really need to get me through my driving license and then he will buy a banger of a car for him to use and I will have the 4x4, just trying to decide if weekly lessons or a intensive course is best tbh

That's all for now really :) have a good day all xx
