OH is pretty bummed out about the dfd that the snowball showed, but then when I was lying in bed thinking about it (as you do lol) I realised that that's not that bad of a date and that is the worst case scenario date, that date is the date we will be debt free if we don't make any overpayments, so of course it will be closer than that as we are making overpayments, and I realised that hopefully in a couple of years when we have got rid of a few debts then maybe the 0% cards will be available to us again so we will be able to pay it off even quicker if we can get the 0% deals again.

I'm gonna pluck up the guts to ring the cc companies and see if any of them will let us lower our interest rates, ive read that some of them do sometimes, only concerns there is I don't have the cards anymore I cut them up, so the only info I have on them is the long card number which shows on my statements, a lot of the time you need the expiry date and ccv number to get past the automated system don't you?

What's everyone plans today? I'm taking DS to his swimming lesson today, got him some goggles to see if it helps, he's been asking for them for a few weeks. Other than that I might make some flapjacks, need to make some pizza dough as its HM pizza for tea tonight

Have a good day all xx

Gave up on barclaycard and tried Virgin, they said no boo lol xx

Well this isn't going well at all, spoke to lloyds who said the only way to lower the rate of the card is to go through to their customer support team and that would effect my credit rating, and while I don't want new credit I need to make sure my credit file is ok with no misses or defaults on or anything just for my mortgage reasons, I won't try halifax as they are the same banking group as lloyds, so only ones left are marks and Spencer's and barclaycard. I have capital one as well but I don't think they will do it either.

ETA no go from M&S as well.

I am SO tired!!! My DD (she's 20 months) decided 4.30am is the time to wake up today!! Tried till 5 to get her back to sleep but failed, so up I got, Pah it would be on a work day too, I'm gonna need a lot of coffee lol.

It's mine and OH's anniversary today, well I say OH we aren't married yet, but today is our 8 year anniversary from when we met/had first date, it's funny but I knew within ten minutes of meeting him that he was the one, and here we are 8 years, a house and two kids later stronger than ever :)

On the money side, I am dying for my statements for feb to finish coming in so I can update my signature, the last CC should be in on the 6th feb and the two store cards by the 8th feb, not much going on the money front right now, need to update my spreadsheet cos most of the household bills like mortgage have come out. My friends mam sadly passed away on Saturday so I ordered some flowers for Her yesterday, so I need to check in the finances and see how much we have left to overpay, at the start of feb my spreadsheet said we had £80 and I overpaid £50 straight away but then ive ordered flowers, but also on the other hand OH only spent £20 on petrol last week when we budget for £40 as that's the normal weekly petrol spend, so yeah I need to update everything and see where we are ... Sorry I'm babbling now, that's what 4.30am wake up does to me lol

Hope everyone has a good day xx

Weekly shopping has just been which means another £9.20 left to overpay S/Card (R) woo hoo. Cannot wait for the statement to come in, think it's due on the 7th but that's a Saturday so might not get it till the Monday argh lol.

It's blooming freezing in my house and the heating has been on since half four this morning, really need to do something about it by next winter, I want to block the stairs in as its open plan and freezing, and we realised our patio door is upside down so you know the air vents that are at the top normally? Well ours is on the bottom and even when the vent is shut there's a draught coming in, we know a window door guy who isn't expensive so I will get him to come out and see if he can take it off and turn it, I hope he can, the curtains in the sitting room are rubbish and thin so they need replacing, not sure what to do about the kitchen, we have our back door in there and two large windows, the windows have blinds im wondering if a curtain on the back door would help, the floor is freezing it clearly needs more underlay under the wood floor but not sure how easy that is

And the master bedroom is always freezing, we only have blinds and not curtains, so def need to get curtains in there.

I'm currently huddled under a blanket lol

Need to make some more flapjacks today, and prepare the lasagne for tea.

Hope everyone has a good day xx
