I'm not sure. It depends on the person. They might not be able to assess for anything else. With all the other things you mentioned, it does sound more like dyspraxia. It could also be a combination of both. Hopefully the assessment will get the root of it and then put in things to support. It sounds like the school is on it as well, which is great.
I've just realised what the words in your signature mean! I have been trying to figure it out for absolutely ages. x

  • I'm dreading the day I get a call like that. Glad you were able to sort it out though and she is not crying about it. I would be in absolute tears if it was me.

Hope they get work sorted soon. x

Hey all, how is everyone doing. I haven’t posted for ages again :( I’m not liking the new forums and I can’t get on at work still.

Still haven’t passed my driving test yet Cos it was cancelled due to COVID.

DD face is healing but she still has a scar.

I am so stressed at work, I have been working throughout as I am a key worker. I wouldn’t say our work that we are doing is critical though sadly, lots of anger with the bosses at work.

I am off soon for “half term” so will sit down and work out my figures

I hope you are all ok xx

Hey guys, sadly, it's just gone downhill, DS (who is 10) suffers with anxiety (he was being assessed before all thie kicked off so that is now paused) is struggling, they are both struggling going to keyworker school, I am struggling at work with lack of support and a job role that has changed 10 times, doing things we've never been trained on with no training, the kids are stressed having to come home after 8 hours at school and then do homework, I rang the dr this morning and I have a two week sick note, I am going to push work to be able to work from home then I don't need to send them to school xx

It sounds like that's exactly what you need @kindofagilr. Your family and their/ your health (mental or physical) should always come first and your employer should understand that. I think you've done the right thing.

I hope the two weeks gives you the time to take a breather for yourself but also be with your kids to get them back on an even keel at home. It's not an easy time for anyone and I think it's shocking that some employers are being so inflexible and inconsiderate. Stay safe!

Hi everyone, how are we all doing?
I have had to change laptops and all my spreadsheets are on my old one, hoping to have some time this weekend to transfer stuff over to my new laptop (it's not a new one, it's a one I've had since christmas 2 years ago that OH got me to game on, but the other laptop that I used to bills and browsing etc was starting to act up so thought I may as well use this one).  Once I have done that I will 100% update all my figures!

Well since my last post, I ended up with a further 2 weeks sick note (4 weeks total), work were still refusing to let me work from home, ended up getting the union involved, they suggested speaking to the school and seeing if they could give me a letter supporting the fact they cant supprt my son and his needs fully till they return to normal(ish) in september, so I did that and they thankfully did, sent it straight to my boss who got straight onto HR and they said 100% I should be allowed to work from home, so the big bosses couldn't dare refuse anymore, so I was granted special leave with pay till they could get my computer to me, that just came on wednesday, I am just waiting for our tech department to ring (could take up to five working days) then I can start home working, I break up for 5 weeks term time on the 30th July lol, but hey ho.  My friend also works at the same place and is term time, and she has been allowed to work whatever she wants as extra wage (while shes on term time) so I am considering doing one or two days a week when I am off on 5 weeks term time, and if there is any overtime, we are allowed to do that as well, but there often isn't any in the summer hols, we will see.

The kids are already so much better cos they are home with me now they broke up for the summer last friday, still no driving test done yet sadly, they have a big backlog of cancelled tests I assume

I hope everyone is ok, I am going to try my hardest to stay updating cos it really does help me xx
