Ok, I have figured out the signature, it has taken some getting used to this new forum lol
Money updates, the Mortgage is now in the £70k's woo hoo, the back end of the £70k's but still. We paid off £10,615.18 in 2019, and so far in 2020 we have paid off £1194.38, our current debt stands at £35,550.72, we have still been paying everything etc, and working on getting it down, I just lost my way with posting.
Our holiday in Cyrpus was BEYOND amazing, we loved it so much, the villa was utterly amazing, I will deffo do a villa again, it was so nice having our own house and space, the villa was so clean, the owners were lovely, the hire car was fab, the weather was fab, it was all aroung fab lol, my mam and hubby thought it was too hot, it was 40 degrees most days, so next holiday they wanna so spain or something cooler, we aren't planning a holiday abroad till 2023 maybe as it costs a lot
Still not passed my testI had a driving test end of October, and failed with one error, it was due to observations on my reverse parallel park, I didn't look around enough, the park was perfect, I just didn't look around enough, second test was booked for 18th Dec, we pulled up at the test centre and it was cancelled due to hard frost
so then my test was rescheduled for end of Jan, I HATED the tester, he talked all the way around, I know how much his rent was, how much he sold his house for in the next town over, I know that the guy we just drove past has lost 10 stone in weight, and has mental health issues and that he goes walking 6 times a day, I know how he is going to claim back his widow's and orphans pension part of his private civil service pension, on one hand he was telling me to relax, on the other hand at junctions and roundabouts, he was gesturing for me to go while sayinf "go, go, go" I honeslty feel like he was trying to put me off!! I failed with one error, apparantly I was over my lane edge while going round a roundabout.
So my test is booked for end of Feb, I am finding it frustrating, my instructor has been fab and I've not been having lessons each week inbeetween cos he says I don't need them, so I have just been having one the week before the test and then an hour before the test, I really hope I pass next time, it's starting to stress me out and I don't want it to mess with my head.
We just had parent's evening for the kids, and they are both doing so wellwe managed to speak with the senco at my son's school, as we want his assessed as I have thought since he was 2/3 there was "something" and I am 99% sure he has Dysprxia, I am aware that he has SAT's coming next school year, and then the year after he is in high school, so any help they can give him I really want in place, he for the most part is doing fine, he is acing english, like his teacher is blown away with his english, they just got retested for reading, and most of the class are max 90, he scored 137, same with computing, he is acing that too, he loves computers lol, he is at level for all other subjects except maths, he is just below level for maths, which doens't surprise me, that is the thing he struggles with the most when we do homework, and I think it is all down to the process of working out the questions which I think links with his Dyspraxia, he struggles with the fact you sometimes need to reword the questions for yourself and work out a couple of sums before getting the final answer. He is a very kind and well behaved boy was the comments all around.
My daughter is just a dream according to her teacher, she is above level in all subjects, is well behaved, helpful and just all around lovely, they both make me so proud
Hubby is doing well with his teaching degree, that is all going so well, I think he is due to finish it this summer, his old boss no longer works for the council with him anymore, and a headteacher at a school she now works is wanting to poach hubby to be the DT teacher at the school she works at, we need to look at all the figures etc though, as I am not sure it currently pays more than his current job, and we can't take a decrease in wages yet.
I have applied to change my working pattern at work, we can request to have some or all of the school holidays off, but the pay is spread out over the 12 months so you don't end up with no pay on your off work weeks, I have requested 8 weeks part time part year off, but have had to increase my days to 4 days a week from 3, with the 4th day being only 6 hours long as I will have to put the kids in breakfast club, but I don't want to put them in afterclub, so will need to leave work at 3 to get them, plus it would cost me £28 every thursday if I did and then that makes it not worthwhile changing lol, so if that gets approved as I don't know yet, my wages will actually go up £50 a month I think, and I get 8 weeks a year off as well as about 4 weeks annual leave woo hoo
I have started selling my crochet, it is going well, mainly hats and gloves at the minute, but I am enjoying it, I wanted to sell toys as well but I need to be CE tested for that, and as we are now leaving the EU it's all changing so I am waiting till next year when the new guidelines are all sorted etc
And that is about it for now I think, phew that was long, need to get myself a coffee and catch up on threads xxDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

Welcome back! It's lovely to see you posting again. Glad all is well with the family.
Try not to stress about the driving test. They're so circumstantial and sometimes you just can't predict how it will go, even if your skills are fine. I failed first time and was shocked (because the thing I failed for, I'm pretty sure was just an excuse because it didn't happen). Second time, i was sure I'd failed and I knew why, but i passed...weird!? You'll get thereSealed Pot Challenge 075

Welcome back.
I was reading about your son and wondered if it might be dyscalculia? I know you know him and would know either, but thought it might be worth looking at if you hadn't considered it. Amazing scores for English and Computing.
I stayed in a villa in Florida and have to say I preferred it. Even though we cooked mostly, it still was amazing because we weren't tied to anything or anyone else's timings. I would get up and drink coffee by the pool without anyone being there in my pjs and book. Little one could go in the pool at any time and just do her own thing. It was just so much easier.
That debt is also coming down. You must be so proud to see such a difference. x

I just had a read up on dyscalculia and you might be right there, until parents evening I had thought he had all these quirks with all of his lessons but it's very interesting it's only mainly maths, I assume when they do a assessemnt on him they will be looking into more things than just Dyspraxia? I deffo think he has that as well as the fine motor skills are the things he mainly has issues with, buttons, laces, he cant ride a bike etc, school have been good so far and they have put him into a session 3 times a week, and he said they have been practising with lego getting them apart etc, and strenghtening his hand and fingers, and the other day was colouring in the lines
Same here with the villa, I loved the same as you, getting up having a coffee and a book outside while everyone else was still asleep, kids just had cereal and toast etc and we had sarnies or toasties for lunch, and it was't too much a pain cooking on a evening xxDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

I'm not sure. It depends on the person. They might not be able to assess for anything else. With all the other things you mentioned, it does sound more like dyspraxia. It could also be a combination of both. Hopefully the assessment will get the root of it and then put in things to support. It sounds like the school is on it as well, which is great.
I've just realised what the words in your signature mean! I have been trying to figure it out for absolutely ages. x

Hi everyone
How is everyone doing? since the update the webpage doesn't load properly from the work PC (we use internet explorer, I used chrome at home) so I won't be able to update from there anymore, so my updates are only gonna be one or two times a week
Managed to get my sky tv down by £23 a month woo hoo, then spoke to our energy provider, we used to pay £125 a month, we were £93 in debit in Jan, so they wanted to put it up to £169!!! ridiculous, so I rang and got the DD put down to £140, I still think that isn't needed but we will see how far in credit I get then I will ask for it back! We have car breakdown cover renewal in, £24 a month, had a look at greenflag and they will do it for £8 a month, so need OH to ring the current one to say we don't want to renew
I am still waiting to hear about my change of working hours, I am not too happy with them cos they have now missed the deadline by 4 working days, will be 5 when I get to work on monday, I had a cry to my boss on tuesday cos I just felt fed up with it all, I seemed to have a lot on my mind at the min (OH isn't 100%, he is ok but not 100%), hopefully they will have more info on monday as I asked to start it from 2nd March
I was off work on monday, which is just as well, I got a phone call from my daughters school, she had fallen over in the yard and cut her face, it was a deep cut and she needed to go to hospital, thankfully my aunty and mam happened to be at my house and my aunty drives, so she was able to drive me to school to get her and to the walk in at the hopsital, it was such a deep cut right under eye with a massive graze next to it, they numbed it and cleaned it out then debated sending us to the city for the plastics team, but decided it would be ok with steri strips on, so she has like 10 of those on her face, they need to stay on for another 2-5 days. She has been so brave, she is only 6, and she hasn't cried, I would be sobbing, I don't know if at the time of the accident she was just in utter shock or not but she is being a trooper
I hope everyone has a nice day xxDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)
