    Morning everyone

    Happy Mothers Day :]

Dusty - so sorry to hear of the passing of your friend, very sad for the children, hope they have a safe haven to go to x

DH has taken the children swimming so its very quiet here, lovely :]

Plans for today - must do some washing and drying [hopefully on the line later], also need to do some ironing

Bossy - playhouse sounds great :]

YL - hope you manage to think through your work problem and get it resolved quickly, nothing more bothersome than a worry niggling away at the back of your mind x

Happy Mothering Sunday to all Fly Mums.
    Better is good enough.
  • I had a great time yesterday doing falconry - but was exhausted!

    So making up today.

[STRIKE]Musty denim in the wash with vinegar.

    Vat of minestrone cooking.

    Stairs hoovered[/STRIKE]

Hoovering not easy hardly used the vacuum just not very good it was cheap as vacuums go but there's a lot of elbow grease involved. I have to use the brush attachment to loosen stuff then take it off to suck anything up. Slow and tiring- so crouched on stairs/landing and fell onto hoover bruising bottom!

Considering buying a new one but I think what else I could spend that money on!

[STRIKE]Minestrone - 2 portions eaten 6 portions cooling to freeze.

Hoovered - Study, hall, bedroom, bathroom, toilet.[/STRIKE]

Denim still stinks - now soaking in the bath with vinegar! Any ideas welcome.

Auntie Sceb - I have carpets that like to hold on to fluff - I use a dampened scrubbing brush to 'sweep' which is effective - slightly less hassle than attaching/re-attaching the vacuum's brush;)

Washing on line. Been to see mum.

Happy mummy's day to all flying mothers, I think many of us would agree that small people add to the flying challenge, but they're worth it. I hope you're all having a lovely day xx

My skids are still at KH's, I'll be leaving to collect them in an hour. I have spent the day ironing, cleaning the kitchen down and watching the BTCC :) DH is napping, obviously cleaning the shoes was too much like hard work for him?! Steaks all round for dinner, I will be cooking but if anyone thinks I'm washing up they're very much mistaken

Thanks Valli. I will have to try that. I don't hoover too often. I don't enjoy it at the best of times. But it is such a physical job I have to do it in stages now as it wipes me out. I don't suppose it helps that my knitting yarn and sewing cotton finds it's way to the floor. As well as a kitchen/diner/sitting room which means everything spreads.

    Afternoon all

Had our first BBQ of the year, bacon rolls in the garden for lunch. House is a bit of a pit and I have quite a busy week ahead.

Just going to get the washing in and finish the ironing. I have DS2's few birthday gifts to wrap too, may drive him in tomorrow to save him going on the bus.

DS1 taken to get photos taken for provisional driving licence. Dancepops has given him £100 towards lessons.

DS2 has been screaming a lot today.

This is our new house. I'll be moving in next week ;)

The lighting is poor so the colour isn't showing very well. Its a grey/green with the trims picked out in cream, looks really lovely.

Spoke to one neighbour and she was lovely about it, she likes the colour and thinks the kids will have a ball!
