Today is not a NSD!

So, despite canceling my payment last week, the student loan company have still taken my £36 overpayment card payment for my loan that is all paid off. Grrrrr. Not going to chase it up at the moment, will wait and see if they also take my wages payment on next payday, just in case they mess that up too.
Other than that, it is a NSD.
And I've eaten a meal from the freezer for my tea.
All going well today.
Keep smiling, keep saving.

Today is not a NSD because:
I spent £4.50 on garden canes to make flags for sports day tomorrow. I could claim it back from school though...
My new handbag arrived today, it's my 'I've paid off my student loan' treat to myself. I've been looking at it since Christmas, when I went to order it there was 30% off. So a bargain treat at that. The money I didn't spend on this has been put into the mortgage overpayment category on Ynab.
So, now I must not spend any more money claiming its my end of student loan treats. So from now on its mortgage overpayment all of the way....
So my targets are to reduce the mortgage to 40k in 12 months, but I need something a little more immediate. Will have a think.
Have a good evening people.

Today has been a particularly difficult day.
I received some news at work, that due to my previous (and subsequently ongoing) anxiety related difficulties sent me into a little spin.
I headed to the local supermarket at lunch time to give my head some space.
I paid for my naughty lunch, I got cash back to put in the collections for leavers.
I left the cash back in the till and walked out of the store. I didn't realise until 6pm. I feel like such a muppet, I have never done that before.
My only hope is that the person who finds it will really benefit from it, and it will be their little 'it came to me in my time of need' money. That's the only way I'm at peace with it.
So, tonight, I've had a long chat with my friend about the work situation and feel much better, she's good at helping me with perspective and tomorrow is a new day.
So in short today is just the worst day for being a money saver, but I haven't cried- which equals success in my book.Mortgage outstanding: [STRIKE]£47,750 (August 2014)[/STRIKE] [STRIKE][/STRIKE]£46,950 (Nov 14)[STRIKE][/STRIKE] £44,900 (June 2015)

It's a nsd today (and a no waste money by leaving it behind day either...)
I'm also making my way through the homemade freezer meals that have been stacking up, tonight it's sweet & sour pork. Very yummy.
Tonight involves a shower - hot sticky yucky day..
And end of year data for my cherubs - oh I lead such a glam life.Mortgage outstanding: [STRIKE]£47,750 (August 2014)[/STRIKE] [STRIKE][/STRIKE]£46,950 (Nov 14)[STRIKE][/STRIKE] £44,900 (June 2015)

This has been the longest week ever. How has it taken so long to get to friday?
Today has been a nsd, and hubby has put his joint account contribution in. So it's been ynab'd to the last penny. I've added to the grocery budget, mortgage over payment, new laptop fund and holiday spends categories. Everything looking quite healthy. I've also cancelled our bacon club subscription and the milk delivery for the rest of July as hubby is away, so saved money there, split into thirds, a third on the mortgage, a third to the laptop fund and a third to the holiday spending money.
Need to put more fuel in my car though, need to stop enjoying myself at weekends.
Have a good weekend
