    Sorry I disagree and have friends who have just hired and only looked at the 1st 20 CV's

    Name me 3 agencies who will consider the unemployed?

    I have never considered myself to be over qualified its the bigged up job adverts that are misleading not me applying for obvious lesser roles.

    I have identifed transferable skills and applied last week for an admin role in a restaurant chain and since coming from a restaurant background I have industry experience.
    The reply was 'you are more suited to an accounts role with the wealth of experience you have'.

    Contacts like an agency as the WP tell you they are like an agency and have many contacts! I have contacted loads of companies but I have no power over them.

    Erm no I think you will find I really live in Essex.

    I have found lots of vountary work to apply for and have done for a few roles and even met with one charity.

    They are what they have said. I copied it from their email.

    All my feedback is forwarded to my JC advisor so I wouldn't make it up and I am not but you think whatever you like.

    It doesn't sound so strange to me, just a fob-off. I've had the opposite feedback in the past (the not enough experience one).

    Not a fob off really. They know I have 20 years exp in the same industry in accounts and asked themselves would I be happy photocopying, faxing and taking telephone calls all day.
