Well it says it on the application to be at least 2000 and no more than 4000Who has told you each answer has to be 2000 words? I think they might be winding you up. No recruiting manager is going to read all that. We’ve had to remove your signature. Yes, and best left there.So... you don't want to do window washing, huh?
Then...- a car valeting service; you go direct to the customers car.
 - Or a garden tidy service.
 - Or a dog walking business.
 - Or you can do a deal with your local coin operated laundrette and offer an ironing service on weekends; pay the owner half your income.
 - Or you could offer a service to old age pensioners in your area... taking the rubbish out / doing the dishes / unblock guttering

Plenty more ideas... start up a tea-reading and fortune telling service in your area... write articles for magazines... put bicycles together... put IKEA furniture together for people... set up a shoe shine booth for bootfairs.
All these might be bad ideas, but given a month or so surely it's possible to think of a good one? Given that you only need to beat £72 a week.

- Employers will consider the best CV's.
 - Many agencies will consider the unemployed.
 - Your's and the employer's perception of over qualified may be very different.
 - Better identification of transferable skills.
 - Ultimately it's up to the applicant. 18 months is a long time not to be able to get any job.

Not sure it all boils down to this extreme either, that said its not all doom and gloom. The JCP are tied up in so much red tape when not showing preference. Some people who are out of work are in an alien world where by all they know is the last 15-20 years in employment. When you first sign on to JSA you get some draconian process which comes as a bigger shock than being unemployed. The periods I have signed on, its unheard of a an adviser offering any advise as they have so many people to see or in some cases the adviser is damn right lazy.;)Check me out at Accede IT0 -
Jobcentres are not what they used to be. Everything is now done online but you still have to go and sign on in person.
I think the government could save loads by closing them down, when you look at what they do now its very little.:footie:0
