Morning all 😄
Up bright and early, my poor throat is raging and I'm coughing like a trooper. Having a hot drink to see if that will shift it as I'm not amused - into my second week of this infection now. 😷
Big changes afoot with our income, which is bad, but OH is grabbing it like an opportunity, so I am not worried, no siree - well maybe a smidgen of anxiousness, but that's natural. In fact it seems that this may all have meant to be. You never know how things are going to turn out do you, but being under £10k is a great boost, and we wouldn't be there if it weren't for some of the wake-ups we've had recently.
Just sat here listening to the wind whistling all around the trees, I wonder what it's blowing in this time 💨. Good things I'm sureFeeling very calm, although the storm is raging outside.

Read the knitting thing ALLL WRONG... and thought.... OMG she's pregnant?!?! :rotfl:
Now that would have definitely been a bit of upheaval!!! :rotfl:
I'm sorry for the upheaval, but I know you will work your hardest to make sure everything is covered. Do an SOA (not on here, just for yourself) with what the new changes will be and work it all out. I am sure it will be ok hun.
As for the infection... hope you kick it soon. I am just into week 2 and it is driving me mad. Determined to kick it without antibiotics though.
Lots of love x

Thank you Lilty and INOD. No pregnancy here :rotfl: no knitting either as still carp. But just trying to do the essentials, I managed to do the weekly shop yesterday and dropped some stuff at the charity shop (which I discovered is open on Sunday's).
I'm cross because being ill normally equals losing weight but I'm still the same. Probably all that slippery stodge, hot drinks and lying around. Gawd knows what my new colleagues think of me, I can't wait to be back on form again. (One of my new colleagues is an ace charity shop shopper!).
Well we have had a good weekend so far, things may be changing in SS towers, but DH declared himself feeling happier than he has for a long time. He's a tense week coming up, but hopefully it will end well. We did the SA yesterday and it looks like we are due a refund. Fingers crossed.
The financials look okay. Back under the £10k barrier is a great place to be. Tackled the Xmas spends but DF still seems so near and yet so far. I was looking at sainsbugs loans for 3.9% (under £15k) and wondering if I should transfer my CCs from their 6.9%. It all depends on what happens with DH this week, but it's something Id like to do by the time I have to refinance the car ballon payment which will be just under £8k in the summer. I would be so chuffed to combine everything and have one loan payment. And its just so great to have options.
Right off to tackle a few bits so that I can relax later. Hope you have a lovely Sunday y'all. XxOSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Sorry to hear you're unwell still, so much illness going around at the moment, that time of year isn't it.
Great you have options with the finances, that's 90% of the battle and I like that OH is grasping the changes - taking that responsibility will hopefully mean you worry less. With happiness comes more motivation.
The path to DF is rarely a long straight road, as annoying as having to go through a difficult chicane can be, ...I don't know why I like the analogy of a race track, must be my sports driving history :rotfl:Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -
Thank you Ali. I am feeling so much better this morning. It's lifted from my chest I think and I'm feeling more with it and positive.
I know I shouldn't dwell on things, but I guess when you are ill you can't help it. I can't believe how much has happened since this time last year. It's been an incredible year. Part of me still wishes I was in my safe job, but coming increasingly to the forefront is feeling grateful for the experience and the drive it has given me. I guess time will tell and it shows how positive I am that I can look forward with anticipation to new and perhaps greater things. Exciting stuff!
My only wish at the moment is to be able to spend more time with my daughter, which is why I wanted to look at SE, but that's not out of the window completely, but will be for another day. I also just heard that from April working parents can request time off up to the time their child is 18 (Unpaid of course). So the elbow room is there if needed, which makes me feel better, plus I can work flexibly.
I love your racing car analogy. I have been going up the down escalator, with DH throwing things in my path. However, he now swears he's grown up, and when he gets going he is ace and we are a fab team. F1 here we come!
Meanwhile DD is being a little star at home, school and work. We are very very lucky.
Right off to work, hope you have a great week. Thanks for the motivation. XxxxxOSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Bless DD, she is a little star indeed.
Glad you are finally starting to pick up. This time last year you had a lot on your plate so it is only normal to look back, especially as you are about to start down another rough road. I really hope that things go to plan and DH and you are both happier
Spending more time with DD... Make sure every minute counts. I know you do, but *DO* things with her. My mum was busy busy with a house full of childminded kids, but I still remember the times when we used to sit in the kitchen playing scrabble by candlelight with jam in yorkshire puddings for puddingit is about making the time count. I am not the best for spending time with Jelly which is why I try to make the time we have together count more now.
You are a FAB mumxxxx

Well hello diary.
So sorry for neglecting you, but all kinds of things have been happening. I won't go into them but it hasn't helped that I have had a bad throat, cold etc. starting to feel a bit better so hopefully a good rest over the weekend will see me right.
I even felt well enough to cook tonight (dd and DH have obliged the last two nights) and I made a soup from all the part packs of veg: onion, potato, sweet potato, carrots, peppers, green beans and cabbage. Really Scrummy and some left for lunch.
I'm enjoying work, although it's very slow and Not the usual fast pace I'm used to, I am starting to see where I fit. I feel like I'm getting into things and can see a future. My back has stopped aching too - perhaps less stress. I'm starting to feel very positive, and I'm also learning new skills which could come in very useful in this or other jobs 😄
I need to look at decluttering, losing weight, getting fit, shabby chic-ing my furniture. Same old list, but I'm hopeful in the next few weeks this will be very much in the flow.
Thank you Lilty. Dd tells me she is so lucky to have me. Just you wait til Jelly tells you that, it's a wonderful feeling (us wondermums should stick together :A

YAY - lovely to see you have found your spot at work
and always great to pick up new skills
especially useful ones. I've got plenty of skills that are not useful in the slightest :rotfl:
Your list is the same as my list. Only shabby chic... well everything is just shabby and not even worth chic'ingmost of it was given to me third hand!
It must be wonderful indeed to be told thatI can't wait!
Big hugs, and hope you continue to get betterxx
