I think that's really interesting Supersaver. Have you thought about what gives you confidence in those situations and how you might apply that to situations where your confidence wobbles?

Evening ss1k!! Hope youve had a great weekend, Have just been reading the last few days having a quick catch up and wanted to say firstly your 2014 summary is amazing, youve achieved so much and I know you will accomplish even more in 2015.
Reading the confidence issue post, I just wanted to say that you are amazing and offer a few tips that works for me when I feel myself lacking- first is to "fake it" until you make it...2)Is to get infront of a mirror and tell yourself how amazing & confident you are (feels silly at first but it works I promise).. 3)picture intimidating people naked or on the loo :rotfl: after that noone seems intimidating (also works lol)...You can achieve anything,do anything.. youve already come so far! You my dear are fierce and will become even more so in 2015...new year new things, I for one cant wait to hear all about it!!xX

Thanks guys.
fake it til you make it is my mantra now.
I don't know why some people make me feel so looked down on. I do try and capture my confident feeling and I think I need to start upping the positive experiences so that the negative ones are like a bit of fluff on my trouser hem. The silly thing is, thinking about it, it's probably people who give me the feeling that they don't like me or something about me. Throws me off. Friendly people Im fine with. I probably let my guard down too much then.

"Fake it till you make it" sounds like a plan! I use the "I AM" mantra which is a similar idea. You believe that you already are what you intend to be and it manifests in the future.......
I used to think that this happened by a process of osmosis, but I now reckon that it still takes an awful lot of hard work and determination to achieve significant changes, but you have that in spades x.Training Loan - £1300.00/£1,500 (13%), Halifax CC 300.00/£925.00 (31%), OS Weight loss 7.0lb/24lb (29%), Extra inc Nov £220, Dec £532.00, Jan Ex Inc target £200.00. supersaver - keep working on building your confidence - it'll pay you back in spades. You never know what makes people tick, but I have to say, it is amazing how many people just go into 'default' mode if they are (in fact) frightened or threatened by your suggestions or lack confidence themselves. I got a totally negative response yesterday - to something that I was enthusiastically extolling. I always get caught out by people being *threatened* by enthusiasm. And as its not something I suffer from myself, I don't understand it. However, it's happened to me enough times now, that I know not to get crushed by it.
Keep confident and keep going, the folks that think they can make you feel inferior will just melt awayUnless they're family, and then that is an entirely different matter....... :rotfl:
You're doing marvellous and 2015 is going to be your year! You go girl!
