Nah, I think I was worrying over nothing. Everyone had more to drink than me.

    I love stir fry.

Thanks for dropping by. I'm the same at the moment. Reading but not replying much. I think that's fine. We are there if needed.

Well I finished work last night and had a lovely celebratory meal. I've found out quite a lot from some of the staff that they think the way I have been treated is rubbish. Doesn't change things but it helps me to know that I'm not imagining it.

Starting my new job Monday so really looking forward to the next chapter ....

  • What's that saying, it's better to regret what you do than what you don't do. It's just first day nerves. You'll be great.

Had a mini foray to MrT's earlier but otherwise been fairly lazy today....planning for a busy day tomorrow.

    So quick checks:

£58 cheque from selling some clothes
£8 on my NHS cashback card
£8.50 on an M&S gift card
    £4.94 Nectar points
    [strike]0[/strike] 15 nectar adpoints
    1788 Tesco cc points
    £14 Tesco cc vouchers
£34 due buymobiles cashback (they say they paid in May?!)
£17 will come from Energylink on Daligas switch
£0 paypal (must canx pcode lottery tomorrow)
    30p Quidco
    £0 Topcashback
    ? Swagbucks
    ? Avios

Haven't checked swagbucks or Avios. Although I converted some Tesco points to Avios and they have set me up a brand new account. I wanted them on our joint account so I could order some wine.

Slightly nervous as last large pay packet. DHs pay about £380 down on expected, he thinks this is because of a overdue NI bill. Will see when he gets his payslip but it's very difficult to budget when it goes up and down all the time.

Need to get my Mrs Mop head on tomorrow as the house feels like a tip and part of being ready for change is to be organised. Have just paid £30 for 12 months road tax. So need to get two new tyres tomorrow and wash the car myself to be already for my Monday start. Also need to meal plan for the week. Some eggy recipes from GP and I also have a huge bag of lentils from MrTs.

The new chapter starts very soon. Ps had a bit of a blub earlier, partly wondering if I'd done the right thing but mainly relief that the stress has gone - I think I just finally let myself relax. The realisation that it wasn't the pressure of the work, but being subject to others unreasonable behaviour. The constant drip drip drip of having your very confidence chipped away and eroded. Yayyyy thank goodness that's gone. Onward and upwards indeed. :rotfl:

Will update signature tomorrow as will get paid on Monday and it will be nice to see what will be paid for from it.

Been updating my totals and playing with my signature again (which is a good sign for me).

I've added the car finance on the bottom but to me it really is discounted, because if I sold it at the moment I could probably break even, but I want to see it as a cost of working rather than a debt - albeit a high one at the moment (I think because it makes the figure too high for me to consider but also it is getting paid off and at the moment my CC debt is the priority). When the options comes to an end next July I am going to refinance for a slightly longer period - perhaps 4 years for a smaller repayment. I know it means it will be 7 years old when paid off completely, but it will leave more cash to pay off the ccs quicker/save for a deposit.

I really want to pay off the overdraft and remove the facility and the £25 a month fee (£300/year) but I'm really nervous about it - feels like a good safety fund - but I have reduced it to £1000 and have only gone over by about 50p once?? - and £300 a year is a lot of money - perhaps I should put the £25 a month into the safety fund though?

I have about £1400 extra coming in this month, and next month should have £1000. I think I'll pay off the smaller MBNA this month which will be one less bill and £9 interest saved. Common sense says to pay off the o/d first as it will save £25 but I think I just need one more month to weigh it all up.

Okay that's me decided then, I am going to pay off the smaller MBNA card this month and then next month I am going to pay off the od , change the account to a fee free one and save the £25 fee :T

    Checks so far today are:

    So quick checks:
£8 on my NHS cashback card
£8.50 on an M&S gift card
£58 cheque from selling some clothes
£34 due buymobiles cashback (they say they paid in May?!)
£17 will come from Energylink on Daligas switch
    £4.94 (988) Nectar points
    24 nectar adpoints
    1788 Tesco cc points
    £14 Tesco cc vouchers
£0 paypal (must canx pcode lottery tomorrow)
    30p Quidco
    £0 Topcashback
    67 Swagbucks
    ? Avios

I've done a few nectar adpoints to try to make my total up to £5 as I saw there is a nectar double your points offer coming up soon. Off to have a look for it.
