  • Well, I had to buy a new kettle yesterday, sadly the base kept shorting the light fuse and as the kettle had been around for a long long time and looked a bit black on the metal plate inside) I thought it was time to treat us. Bought a lovely cream bosh jobby. So called reduced to £24.95 and then used up £2.50 of necktar poynts. Started to doubt myself when I saw a similar fillips one in Arsda for £2.50 less but when I got home realised the bosh one looks loads nicer - it's plastic but almost looks ceramic metal :D;)

It's got a cup mark on the side and is so quick and quiet. Feels like a real treat :D:rotfl: to make a cuppa. :)

Not so long ago I wouldn't have gotten much pleasure over buying a kettle, but now every purchase is a treasured event. :rotfl:

My elastic money is stretching everywhere. :rotfl:

And when you come to Kondo..you'll be picking it up, hugging it and saying 'I love you, you are staying' :D

Love your posts on Broggers' diary too - very true the bittersweet and being a worrier as well, completely get it.

Hope chat with DD went well and she's spoiling you today :A

  • Ah thank you Ali. Yes, all went well. It was very considered, she is a hardworking student and this has been a valuable life lesson. Thanks for your support.

Kondo? Sounds like I need to catch up. I thought it was to do with folding t-shirts :)

    Great stuff with DD.

Think Kondo-ing applies to anything (part of de-cluttering) - INOD and Lilty are better placed than I as I've not read a book or watched a video :o But I think it's about having things you love around you as well as the space it creates. :)

SS don't do it. It is consuming!!! :rotfl: - Although I have never had so much space in all my life in terms of my drawers/wardrobes/Jellys drawers... and yet each is filled with things I love, so everytime I open it, a bit like your kettle, I get a little squeak of excitement.

I have to apply it to bedding next, and learn how to fit a king size duvet cover, fitted sheet and 3 pillowcases inside one pillowcase :rotfl:

  • I swapped over the contents of two of my kitchen cabinets last year and it made such a difference to finding and storing things. I need to apply the same logic to the rest of the cupboards and the rest of the house.

I really enjoy using those cupboards as I can find things. Very exciting to think my whole house could be like that :) I feel a major clear up coming on :rotfl:

    Back soon. Ss1k

    Not started kondoing yet :rotfl:

But popping in to say things going weller than well.

Funny how SE, although it means you are reliant on yourself and you alone to provide your income, it also means you aren't reliant on someone else for your job and that is a really liberating feeling. I guess maybe it helps that one of us is still employed.

Still thinking of SE ideas for me for when the kondoing is complete.

Good wishes to all who pass this ship :rotfl:

Flipping NORAH, is that all we own on the credit cards. How DID that happen :rotfl:

    Brilliant news :T:T

Glad SE is going well and absolutely your own boss in every way. Just don't let DH sack himself :rotfl:

It's a smoother ship over here...calmer waters :rotfl:
