With all due respect fly on the wall I did show you up as a troll unless your "he might have died" advice was real.
"I've been using ebay for about a month and i know that's nonsense" was indeed me mocking the idea that ebay in anyway deals in contracts.
The month comment was to show how quickly I have had to learn that, not to highlight that I'm experienced and know it all. It was clearly to point out the opposite.
No one else even mentioned that month comment except for soolio, I choose to ignore the first comment because I felt there was no need to get involved with such an obviously provocative poster. Obviously I've bitten at the second one.0 -

I haven't ignored the good advice.
I complained about people trolling with answers such as "the buyer might have died" and telling me I shouldn't be on ebay because I've had to ask a question about it.0 -

All due respect and calling me a troll in one sentence. Interesting. Clearly much respect there.
Anyhow, look at usernames, at no point did you call me a troll because I never said he might have died was good advice. That was some else who said about that post being good advice, although I doubt they were talking about that part. Can't be bothered to look back but sure the first part was good advice. Btw you confused mgdavid and campdave earlier on too.
Yes, you saw it as mocking ebay and their idea of a contract but we all saw it as you saying there were no contracts and mocking the person who posted it.
The only reason you have the replies you do is because you appeared to be mocking members on here then rather than explain yourself you've decided to ignore random comments and call everyone trolls.
There is still good advice on here and (bad) things can happen to buyers which affects them paying.0 -

As you seem to think you speak for the board, I was talking about the board in general when I said 'you'.
You're the one telling me what everyone means with what they post and what they think I've posted.
You referred to 'we' when you talked about my accusation of trolling.
I replied with 'you' to prove your 'we' had been trolling.
Unless you think the 'he might have died' was valid and real advice I have no idea what you're arguing about here.
And again, no one mentioned the month thing apart from one poster, not even the person I made the comment to.0 -

I never said I spoke for everyone I said judging by the replies. I mean I said we the second time, but it was still based on my previous point where I said judging by the replies. I didn't just decide to be leader of the forums and group all opinions, thoughts and replies as my own.
You made a point of picking out a bit from one reply and aiming it at me saying you already showed I was a troll despite the fact that that reply wasn't mine. Now you're saying you means the board in general? That reply still only came from one person, why does that show everyone to be a troll?
No wonder people are misunderstanding what you claim to be saying. You word things one way, insult everyone then claim you meant something else and try to make out everyone else is being all high and mighty.
Maybe you should start again with this thread and say what you mean.0 -

Well this is what you said.
Seems to me like you're speaking for everyone.0 -
The "customer may have died" was a lighthearted way of saying anything could have happened and is unlikely to include a competitor (who by buying your item and not paying would be risking his own account). As has been pointed out I did also include the correct advice of what to do for a non payer.
All that said, has OP heard from the buyer or had payment yet? If not, I could still be right..0 -
Thank you for that advice RFW.
I've spoken to the buyer and he has some funding problems.
I'm happy to wait as long as he still definitely wants the item.
He assures me he does.0 -
Phew. I'm glad I never inadvertently killed anyone off. Still a bit off 'buying' something and not being able to pay. I'd give him a deadline to sort it out and say you'll have to relist if not done by then.Thank you for that advice RFW.
