I think you have explained the reason well, I can browse on my phone but being of a suspicious nature and realising that paypal never actually logged out sometimes I choose not to pay on it. So I could buy something while I am at work and not actually pay for a while afterwards. The only thing that can stop me is the 'immediate payment required' button which means I can't physically buy unless I pay.

To me this is messing people about.

Why would you buy something with no intention of paying for it for ages?

Maybe you should wait until you're ready to pay before you buy an item.

Ooh, that's told me then. Has it not occured to you that if someone gets back to me with a good offer that I might be eager to accept that offer and then wait until I am home on a secure wi fi connection to pay?

I will bow to your superior knowledge of ebay and business generally, but I must say that I pity any seller who sits and panics if someone takes a few hours to pay. Perhaps my business is successful enough that I don't worry about such minor issues.

    Perhaps.

I pride myself on not messing people about though.

It just strikes me as a bit rude to agree to pay for something, have someone's listing removed and then to not bother paying.

Some of us aren't running successful businesses and this type of messing about can prove to be very stressful.

Send an invoice, in lieu of reminder, then file a non payer report after 2 days should they not pay.
Your buyer may have died in between accepting the counter offer and starting to pay. It's a long shot but might help alleviate your stress levels.

That's even more time wasting. Imagine accepting the counter offer and then dying before you can pay! Disgraceful.

Ebay's not for everyone. If you find this stressful, perhaps it's not for you.

I'm doing okay on there thank you very much.

It's other people who are messing me about.

Buyers sometimes don't pay straight away...inconvenient maybe..but not unusual. Whether they bid, hit buy it now or accept an offer, unless you have immediate payment enabled (and this isn't available on all listing formats) then that is just something you have to put up with when using ebay.

Can't imagine that it is that stressful as if they haven't paid after 2 days then just raise a case..it isn't the end of the world.

As for you claiming it maybe a competitor ridding ebay of items then they won't get far as most savvy sellers block buyers with x number of unpaid item strikes so as long as you and 'A N Other' raise a case then thats the end of his plan...

I don't think you can say that you have rumbled a scam based on the fact that one of your buyers didn't pay immediately.

So if this buyer doesn't pay can I relist my item even though I have hit my listing limit in the category it is in?
