You might find that Santander won't allow 2 DDs against the same esaver. It's always been a bit tricky to set up DDs with them, anyway.
Tesco is very easy to do, may be try one at Tesco for your second DD.0 -

Do you think there is any sort of grace period with regards to the £1500?
The T&C state that we need to pay £1500 into the account each calendar month. Well today is the 30th do I need to pay £1500 into the account before the end of this month (so today or tomorrow) and then do the same again from Tuesday. To avoid a £5 charge?

Just read the "provided you pay two different Direct Debits from your Club Lloyds current account each calendar month." again and thought what if the two Tesco DD's as well as different accounts, we make them different amounts. Say one for £1, the other £2. That is definitely two different DD's then ?0
