New Lloyds Club current account

Although not ideal for what you intended to do, you can of course change the amount of your standing order for the following month if you find yourself with spare cash;)0 -
Thanks for the three replies, I have changed the SO to £400, hopefully I'll save that much each month!0

I opened a Lloyds Club account last week after Lloyds changed the Terms and Conditions of Vantage forcing me to close one of the accounts and open a Club Lloyds for the main account.
Before I had two Vantage accounts each with £5,000 paying interest.
Not overly impressed at the moment with the free gifts incentive. Would have preferred to keep to the two Vantage accounts.
Although I wont have to pay the monthly charge, Club Lloyds would be very expensive if the account went into overdraft.0 -
Lloyds didn't force you to close any Vantage accounts. It is your decision to close them, and with the very low interest rate and the requirement for 2 DDs, it makes little sense to keep any money in them now. They might still be good for switching to a bank that pays a joining bonus (FD, Halifax, M&S, Coop).
Have you maxed all the other 3 and 5% current accounts?0 -

The balance in the second Vantage went into an ISA.
It may have been ultimately my decision to close the Vantage which I was quite happy with until the interest rates changed. Do feel like Lloyds left me no choice and wanted customers onto the new Club account.0 -
Just rang again tonight, after speaking and emailing various people in June. Confirm that my first issue should be sent out on the 7th of Aug - so fingers crossed.
Please can we have more choice next year (did consider the cinema tickets but the nearest one is 40miles away so not worth it - would cost more in petrol than the ticket)
Now received the first two copies of the magazines requested - thou must say having flicked through them I would never actually buy them.Typically confused and asking for advice0 -
