It might sound logical but for the fact that O2 and all it's MVNOs had the worst outage of all the networks in recent times (late last year).
yes I remember that, and they credited all their customer with £10 store credit.
But they do seem to be more reliable for calls - I can get reception on the motorways on my o2 phone. But with EE I was driving from East London to East Central and lost reception in a pretty built up inner city area (I would never get that with o2 - at least I dont ever recall getting loss of reception like that with o2)0 -
I'm amazed that Three and White aren't rushing sims out to people. This is a great opportunity to pick up tens of thousands of new customers who want a quick port out. If you put the sim on the slow boat, they will have gone somewhere else by the time it arrives.
I too am still waiting for a White sim, and a GG one-both ordered last Thursday. I would like to remain on Vodaphone network though as it gives the best coverage here, but went into my local Carphone WH shop last week and asked for a PAYG Talkmobile sim and they denied such a thing existed!!Contacted Talkmobile and they confirmed that CW DO stock them so going back to try again tomorrow....0 -
Ordered a giffgaff sim on Friday, based on there promise to speed up delivery, it was latish Friday so i thought it might not leave them til Monday, then i receive an email on Monday telling me the sim has left them and it will take 3-4 days...that's a bit annoying and makes me wonder if their credit deals will appear as well.
If its not here by Wednesday i'm going elsewhere.0 -

Depends if you want to (a) trust e2save being in business for the next 24 months to pay all the cashbacks and (b) trust yourself to meet the stringent conditions for qualifying those cashbacks and (c) trust Topcashback to pay out on the cashback which I no longer do after several bad experiences in the last 12 months
E2save claim earning the cashback is simple but they must be using a completely different dictionary from me!
Its actually as complicated as possible and I'm sure their statistics show that 98% of the customers don't get most or all of the cashback promised.:mad:Cashback Claim Process:
Claiming your cashback couldn't be simpler. You will need to send in your mobile phone bill at months 7 , 12 , 16 , 20 and 24

I'm surprised Vodafone haven't switched everyone off
Why would they. They actually receive money from the network of the customer making the incoming call to the Ovivo number so continuing to allow incoming calls allows them to try to recoup some of the money they have clearly lost on the outgoing call and data bills that Ovivo still appears likely to owe them and probably have no intention to pay.
Essentially they are just treating Ovivo customers like any Pay As You Go customer who has run out of credit. Such a customer can then go on receiving incoming calls until such time as they top up again. There were also rules on the Ovivo SIM that if you didn't make calls or send a text or use data every 60 days the SIM would then be deactivated. So basically all customers have until 19th May to port out their number or after that they will no longer be able to receive any incoming calls too and probably also no longer be able to get a PAC code or port out their number.0 -
Three's 12 month contract deal at £6.90 per month with 500MB 200 Minutes and 5,000 texts also looks quite interesting for anyone prepared to commit longer term (it obviously becomes 1 month's notice after the first 12 months) and not wanting to pay as much as GiffGaff's £10 per month but not exceeding 200 minutes of calls. Those 5,000 texts are worth £50 alone on their 1-2-3 Tariff and the data is worth a further £5 and the calls another £6 so not bad value overall.
See http://store.three.co.uk/view/searchSimOnly;jsessionid=5E2A47F0E24D64F6114BA7766CE69980?tariff=29131200
My main issue with Three as a service is still having no data service at all (not even perfectly useable 2.5G or largely non useabale 2G other than for sending emails) and only the ability to make phone calls in large parts of rural Scotland and Wales and quite a lot of remoter parts of England including in Norfolk and Cornwall.
I really don't see how they haven't forced the regulator to also give them the right to roam for data with another network with 2/2.5G cells in those areas. Obviously the other networks all pass up the income as long as Ofcom goes on allowing them to do so because they know that huge numbers of rural customers will never consider Three as a network for this very reason.0 -
Have moved over to Talkmobile's £7 deal.
Signed up last Thursday but won't get SIM till this wednesday and just got text to say existing number wont migrate till the 31st,what a lot of hassle.0 -
IMHO Three's Rural offering is better than o2 and Voda in Powys. Three still use Orange's 2g network for calls and sms backup (no data), but they have 3g coverage in most villages or greater.0

If you look at Three's coverage map and cut it down to base 2G coverage it really doesn't look at all encouraging compared to Vodafone, O2 or EE's 2/2.5G service in most rural parts of the UK.
I really don't see why Three doesn't put in place a data roaming arrangement with EE in these rural areas in which they already rely on EE for the phone service rather than leave customers with a phone calls only service. In 2014 this simply isn't acceptable when it might well have been back in 2010. OfCoN ought to realise this and do something to remedy the situation as otherwise I and lots of customers will never consider joining Three's network. I suspect Three does actually want to offer some kind of data in areas where it has no cells but that EE simply refuses to allow access to its network for this at a cost effective rate.
The way I see it being a Three customer means keeping another SIM card going on a 2/2,5G network so that you have a fallback if you need data access in a rural area. This hardly seems either desirable or acceptable.0
