    So what?

The number is transferable, how will it change the business cards if you move the number to 3 or EE?

Err because I haven't been able to get my PAC yet!?

I think pretty much everyone who asked for one has got one now, have you checked using this page?

just ported to asda mobile. So less than 24 hours and my number is back onto a more reputable company.

All these naysayers who were saying not to jumnp onto ovivo because they'll lose tyheir precious number were wrong.

£20 is hardly a major loss - that's a very cheap evening at the pub for most people.

There was no indication of an immediate issue a month ago; indeed all the talk was of Ovivo raising money for expansion.

Most business will continue selling right up to the bankruptcy. Certainly people who put deposits into lehman brothers the evening before announcement of closure had no idea either.

it's very naive to take press release statements on face value. No company is going to ever say "we're facing difficulties with cash flow so we need £3M for operating expenses and meet liabilities". If the company has received a death blow until then - that press release will certainly give it the death blow as all the customers migrate and all creditors call in their debts.

What annoys me is companies like MSE dont bother to credit check companies before referring services to their user base. They will have much better and deeper credit checking features than you or me but they didn't check that.

A credit check would have probably indicated that the company is in serious debt. I looked up duedil.com and showed everyone that the company has £500K in liabilities and £10K in their bank. But this was from the published accounts from over 12 months ago - so doesn't give you the full picture. FAIK they could have received £1M of investor money since then. Or the £500K could be directors loan.

I don't think this is cashflow problem from the links others have posted here and elsewhere. It seems more likely they had their service withdrawn by the service provider and this caused them to stop functioning.

They had a funding round which ended on the 17th seen nothing to indicate this was not successful but there are indications that a contract was ended or that a contractor indicated that they could not fulfil the obligations under it and this made Ovivo less of a going concern and to protect investors (this has to be their primary responsibility not customers) they stopped trading with immediate effect.
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.

I would keep checking the Ovivo site, I would be suspecting it's ended up in a spam folder (or could you have made a mistake with any of the details).

I can also confirm the same PAC will work on multiple numbers, we had 2 numbers with them (in different names and emails) and I've just noticed the same PAC was supplied by OVIVO for both and accepted for both numbers by Three. Both numbers successfully ported to Three this morning and are up and running.

Thanks so much for this post.

Both my husband and I were still wating for our PACs, I checked ovivo site a few mins ago and they have changed the page since yesterday. You can now check the status of your request by following the onscreen prompts. I entered our numbers and email addresses and the PACs were given to me there and then.
I was worried to see that they are the same as eachother but after reading your post I am hopeful our next provider will accept them.
Ours are OVI followed by 6 numbers, is that how yours were?

    Thanks

Thanks. That's how ours are so I'm more confident they are ok for the next provider we go to which will most likely be Three, looking at the figures I have researched and you have already said they accepted yours ok so I'm happier now than I was half an hour ago :D
