Parking Fines (Smart parking/Parking eye etc) HELP PLEASE

Hi.
I received a parking fine from Smart Parking last September for parking at Asda, I have been ignoring this as I was advised to do so but 6 months later and I'm still receiving letters..
I take my nan shopping every week, She's 75 and has a crumbled spine, rheumatoid arthritis and had cancer.. She struggles to walk around, so shopping does take quite a while.
On the day we were issued a parking fine for we struggled to find a parking space (they only have about 10 disabled spots all on ground level) All these spaces we taken so I had to drop my nan off on the lower level and drive up to get a space, when leaving I had to go back and get the car and bring it back down to her before being able to load the shopping (She can't use lifts and there are no escalators)
Do I Continue to ignore the smart parking Fine??
Further to this in the last 2 weeks I have received 2 separate parking fines from Parking Eye (for parking at Morrisons)
This states they only allow 2 hours - again with my nan. We were in a disabled bay - This badge allows 3 hours even on double yellow lines so why not in a supermarket carpark?
Any advice on these would be greatfully received

its private land so they make up their own rules and the BB does not apply to private land
you should not be ignoring these tickets though, not if its in england or wales
so read this https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822
tells you everything you need to know, as does this flow chart in post #9 too https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4922055
also bear in mind that the BB is not valid on private land , but the EA 2010 is !
the first thing you should be doing is complaining to the landowners and shops to get the tickets cancelled, due to the EA 2010
but you should also be sending in appeals to PE and to Smart using the template in the newbies thread, also adding an extra bit about the EA 2010 and the BB, enclosing a scan of the BB to prove validity
ps , these are not fines , they are invoices0 -

What does BB Mean? If they are Not fines but invoices why do we have to pay them? I've had a brief look through the link you just posted (Will have a proper look once my little ones are in bed) but just seems to be lots of messages etc, can never seem to find anything direct to the point.
Thank you very much for replying to me x0 -
nobody says you have to pay them , but they are invoices and like any invoice they are valid if they meet contract laws and other laws and only a court can decide if these invoices have any validity so they could take you to court for unpaid invoices, same as any other company could
this is why you should be appealing them and not ignoring them
that thread I linked to has the latest advice, written by one of the best advisors on here and you need to bear in mind that POFA 2012 makes you responsible for these invoices if you are in england or wales
BB means Blue Badge , which you mentioned, but the BB is only relevant on public roads etc like you alluded to, not private land which is where you were parked
brief look is not good enough, you need to wise up , learn the teminology and the "ropes" and sort out your appeals to the shops and to the parking companies asap
if you dont deal with this you run the risk of court action, especially with PE, so wise up and get the appeals sent in asap
and maybe you need to read the BB booklet and wise up to where and how it is used , also the Equality Act 2010 which applies to these shops and private land as regards the protected person (your grandmother) and the responsibilities these shops and parking companies have to provide for her0 -

Ok, I ignored them as was advised by this very site. When I received the fines I googled the company and this site came up top, I read post after post saying they were to be ignored as they could not enforce the fine and that the only fines that should not be ignored are council/police ones..
As I said I will have a proper look later (I didn't say I had a brief look and that was all I was going to do), I have 2 kids running around at the moment and it's difficult to concentrate on pages and pages of posts just to get to the post that you mentioned..
We don't have a booklet with the BB and generally We are well aware of the rules etc regarding them but supermarket carparks are very much a grey area.. the blue signs in the carpark thereselves state that you are allowed 3 hours and yet they fined us for being over 2.
Thank you for the rude and belittling response.. very helpful0 -
I was also told that by appealing I am admitting that I received the Fine and not to contact them in any way.
This is why I started my own thread and asked for help on the matter?
Has anybody on this site ever actually been taken to court etc over these fines because to be honest I'm not entirely convinced that Someone didn't just start saying these things which started people thinking they should now appeal etc, I've not seen one post yet from anyone saying they have been taken to court (and lost)
Admittedly I haven't recently trawled through hundreds of posts but of the hundred or so I have seen I haven't seen anyone saying on any of the few websites I have looked this matter up on..0 -

Wow, a lot of questions !
Yes, some people have been taken to court ( and some have lost ) but NOT by Smart Parking. This isn't to say Smart might not start doing so.
Your best course of action is to appeal ( and yes I know it says you're out of time ! ).
You can continue to ignore if you like - after six months you must be near the end of the pointless letter chain. Just be prepared for a few more letters.
Two things though :
a) You must have read very old threads to get the message that ignoring is the right thing to do.
b) Please, please, please ( even pretty please ) stop calling these fake invoices fines - they are anything but.
EDIT - just spotted the Parking Eye bit. YOU MUST APPEAL TO PARKING EYE ASAP. Use the template in the Newbies thread."The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -
Parking Eye have launched around 8000 court claims in the last 12 months. Nobody on here advises ignoring them these days.0

nobody on here has advised you to ignore the invoices for over 12 months ; so definitely long before you got your invoices and the NEWBIES thread has been there for most or all of that time so IGNORE has never been advocated on here since oct 2012 when the rules changed due to POFA 2012
you asked for advice and were given it, what you do with it is up to you
I already told you that the blue badge is nor valid or relevant on private land , and I have both a blue badge and a booklet and can assure you its only valid on public roads which is what you were talking about with the "yellow lines" post so clearly you know nothing about what applies as regards your nans blue badge and these invoices and supermarkets
when I give advice on here its the truth to the best of my knowledge and will give it regardless of who is receiving it or their own take on it , if you have issues with what I posted that is your problem not mine
I stand by the statements I have made and you can take them or leave them , but either way it is you that is running the risk of court papers, especially from parking eye who are issuing hundreds every week on average
yes people have been taken to court, those who sit down and learn about the subject may well win , others may lose or get default judgements against them , especially those who do not research the subject properly like you
I came here for advice last summer and can assure you that the word IGNORE was not being used , but if you wish to continue to ignore these invoices then do not say you were not warned , bearing in mind if you dont learn about it now I will almost guarantee PE will issue court papers from northampton some 2 months after your 2 morrisons parking invoices were sent out0 -

Thank you - to be honest I'm not concerned about the smart parking one, it's been 6 months and for 4 of those it's been a so called debt collection agency writing.. each time the letter says the same thing.. that they are now offering a reduced payment of £80.00 instead of £120.00..
After 6 months I can't really see this amounting to much else and if it does I shall just have to deal with then - you have confirmed what I already believed of this company, that they have never taken anyone to court..
It was more the Parking Eye ones I was concerned about now..
They are both very recent (one week after the other)
As for being old posts.. I just typed parking eye into Google (and smart parking for the other) And this was one of the top pages) there were pages and pages of people saying to ignore and to be honest I didn't think to look at dates at the time..
I shall try to refrain from calling them 'Fines'

Whether the bb is relevant on private land or not the huge Blue sign that is on that land states that bb holders may park for 3 hours!!!
It's not a case that I have not researched the subject properly more that I have only just asked the question to get some helpful advice and until 7pm when my children go to bed I will not have time to research the subject properly as you say.
And for the record my problem is not with your advice, all advice is appreciated it's more with how rude you are in giving your advice.. You may have been on here for a while but I haven't..
Maybe familiarise yourself again with the rules of the site or read that rather big notice on the left underneath my username.
Thanks again0
