    I'm afraid I rather "lost my rag" today with Extra Energy. Like many others, I have been paying monthly and submitting readings each month and I have yet to receive an accounting for the money I have paid to them. This is really unacceptable to me as I like to know exactly where I am with my energy usage because my OH has a heart complaint and we use a LOT of heat to keep him feeling warm. I have said, and I will carry it out, that I will write to the Ombudsman if I do not receive an accounting by the end of this month.

    I seem to have been fighting energy companies since 2000 when we were "stolen" by Virgin Energy. That took me about 13 years to sort out properly, calculating my actual usage each year and applying for £500-£600 to be repaid - yes just for a year! During that shambles (which was nothing to do with Extra Energy of course) someone actually said to me "Mrs X you can't possibly calculate your energy usage". Needless to say, I can.

    Got to admit I was thinking of posting something similar. I have been with them for over 6 months and have no clue how much I am in credit/debit without working out my bill. I know some on here will disagree but that is their job. The timescales for bills keep getting put back and it is really not good enough. It's not as if they haven't had experience elsewhere in europe.

    You should have received a confirmation of contract email with your T&Cs and some meter reading reminder emails by now. It's worth checking your junk mailbox on your email account as sometimes they can go straight to junkmail. If they are not there please email me your full name and account details at blogresponse@extraenergy.com and I'll pick this up tomorrow when I'm back in the office.

    Thanks for the communication on Friday Attiya. Everything is sorted and received my confirmation of switch starting today.

    For those interested, just looks like my initial email had not been received. Switch in total took from 8th October and was completed on 13th November.

    Thanks again for assistance Attiya and clearing things up.

    Hopefully the billing side of things will be sorted in 6 months time! ;)

    As most of you know I take readings each month and work out the cost myself.

    Its like going back in time and I was having to do this type of thing 30 years ago before such things as online accounts.

    I have found a better deal with N Power for my gas and have got the transfer underway. Fixed until Feb 2017 and pay by dd variable every qty. I was with them before and never had any issues. Even though I have to forfeit £25 I am still gaining.

    I HAVE GOT A BILL


    Well my daughter has, not checked my account yet, but her bill is dated 11 Nov and is available as a PDF in "Bills and Payments" on line. It uses customer reads and they have reduced her DD.


    BUT


    It is only for the 2 month period to 2 July 2014


    Getting there slowly !!

    Lucky you (or your daughter) Nothing in mine so I have submitted the current readings and we may or may not see. I'm sure you could only input one of gas or elec readings some months ago but not both together which seems to have changed.

    Just checked my account and nothing there, she said she did get an e-mail. My supply started 29 April and hers 5 May

    This is something I can only dream of. Should be fun because I am transferring my gas away now.
