I have spoken to them several times and on one occasion I got the impression they thought I was just getting electricity from them instead of dual fuel. they are now sorting out with EDF (24/10 and still no resolution) who have been very good. Customer service at Extra Energy is non existent, they have not replied to my emails and a formal complaint to customer service. I now have to wait till my meter reads the higher number they used as I cant pay for gas I haven't yet used. In all, you may get cheaper fuel but you also get a big headache. I found EDF to be very good and had no problem with them during our 3 year relationship but have to save money. I'm thankful that the contract is only for 1 year so I may switch back to EDF.
Hi,

Thanks,

Anyone know if they add anything to the bill to cover IGT charges.
Rang them up and the person at the other end said No, but the answer did not seem very confident to me!
I can save by moving to them but if they add a large CGT charge the gain will be wiped out!
Thanks

I "switched" to ExtraEnergy from nPower in August. I have had a final bill and received a rebate from nPower based on an estimated reading, but have had nothing other than a welcome e-mail from ExtraEnergy despite e-mailing them last week. Electric still working though lol.0

Hi Matthew,
No, we won't add any additional Independent Gas Transporter charges. The unit rate and standing charge you are quoted is the price you will pay.

Hi gang I'm another guy which is switching to EE I done it via the online MSE Cheap Energy Club they come first for Electric, so far I have account number and agreement all in a space of 48hours i spoke to them on the phone today to amend my DD a little higher payments that's now been adjusted I even got a call back to let me know when they would like a meter reading next month for hopefully a nice smooth switch, I got to admit I was lazy with switching company's over the last 9 years but due to getting a PHEV Vehicle soon I was staggered how much I was paying over the odds with Npower with dual fuel costs, oh well better late then never I be active every 6months relooking at deals via the "MSE Cheap Energy Club tool"
I will keep you updated on the full switch over to EE soon if and when it happens
regards SteveOh well we only live once ;-)0
