Have you provided meter readings to M&S? This will help ensure that your final bill with M&S is accurate. It maybe worth calling them to chase up your final bill too at the same time.
Attiya.
I contacted M&S, they have received the final meter readings I provided EE with for my gas supply and have given me my final gas bill. They told me they need the new supplier (EE) to give them the reading for the electric and then they can produce the final bill.
Why would EE not have provided them to M&S at the same time. I gave them together?0 -

It sounds like you're 3-4 weeks into your switch, which usually takes about 5 weeks. Very soon you'll receive an email from us stating your supply start date - this is the date that you'll start to be charged by extraenergy. If you'd like to email me your full name and account number, I'll look into this for you and get you more accurate info. The email address is blogresponse@extraenergy.com,
Thanks,
Attiya
Thank you. I've just done that.0 -

As far as I am aware and have been told off other suppliers the distribution and transport costs are included in all costs with energy suppliers.......except from Extra Energy which state in there T&C quote " We can charge you for costs related to transportation and distribution of gas or electricity (or both) to your site and meter charges"
This clause in the contract has apparently caused quite a number of people to be charged various hundreds of pounds on top of what they already pay.
Through my work we had 3 different energy advisory places which did not offer prices and were simply there to advise that a lot of people have been caught out by this clause so please be careful when signing up to them.0 -

Hi busiscoming2,
I thought it would be worth explaining the industry meter reads process for opening and closing accounts. When you provide your reads to your new supplier (e.g extraenergy) these get sent to the Electricity Data Collector and the Gas Transporter. They then validate the reads and send them to your previous supplier (e.g M&S) who use these to close your account. At the same time they get sent back to your new supplier (e.g extraenergy) to open you new account. This process ensures that both your closed read and your new open read are consistent.
If you email me your full name, postcode and account number I'll look into your specific situation and ensure both reads have been sent out by us: blogresponse@extraenergy.com

Hi AbbieCadabra,
I'll look into that at the same time!
