Digging a bit deeper it appears that Extra Energy has been without a Company Secretary since August 2013 and a replacement was finally appointed last month.
Given that he (Christian Gottlieb) is the Director Corporate Finance and Development of the German parent company Extra Holding and has a strong pedigree in corporate development and restructuring, I suspect that they (the parent company) are not to happy with the overall performance and delays in implementing certain services.

Here we are in early October, the leaves are beginning to fall, the field mice are stocking up with nuts in their winter nesting places and the cycle of life goes on as it does year after year.
Then there's the other cycle of life, you know the one that exists on planet EE where nothing is predictable and the inhabitants wonder when something/anything is going to happen.
When will I get a bill? I dunno!
When will we get interactive services? I dunno!
When will anything that purports to be a fully functioning website that allows a bill to be generated immediately on submission of a meter reading? I dunno!
Still, I'm not worried because EE won't be sending me my bill for at least another 4 to 5 weeks which like 3 months ago, means my money will be in my pocket instead of theirs.
I would love to catch sight of their business plan.
The part of that plan under the heading "Cash Flow" would make very interesting reading!
They could not even be bothered to collect my dd last month and it was only I noticed nothing had gone from my account. I phoned them and could not offer me an explanation. In the end I used my cashback credit card.
This company is just a complete joke.0 -

I am sorry that you have not received any cashback for your Direct Debits to Extra Energy as they do not currently participate in Santander?s Cashback program.
I have raised your query with our specialist team where, hopefully Extra Energy can be added to our Cashback program.

Re EXTRA ENERGY: I switched in June 2014 and it went very smoothly..... BUT ...... it's very annoying that one can't see any details of readings submitted, consumption or of payments and balance of account on line. The telephone service is good but they can tell you nothing either and keep saying that they are 'working to sort it out' - no date given. You only get a six monthly bill.
I think MSE should know this and it should be made clear in the data shown on comparison websites as it defeats the object of having an on line account.0 -
I was very impressed with the prices and agreed to move over to Extra Energy. But if anyone thinking of moving please beware as things do not run as smoothly as they make you believe.
I was told by them that the switch over had been made, but 6 weeks later I find that I am still with my old supplier on out of contract rates, am now in dispute with this company as who is going to pay the cost (which is almost double the tarriff) which I have incurred through no fault of my own. Will keep you posted as to the outcome.0 -
My switch seems to have gone through ok, taken 5 weeks. Only switched for electricity, for gas I've gone to Zog and that switched in 4 weeks -customer service with them has been excellent.
EE aren't very forthcoming with communications but no big deal. They were way cheaper than anyone else, and if cutting back on junk mail/customer service is the price to pay i'm ok with that. Your continued supply is protected by the Regulator at the and of the day, irrespective of what company you're with. (ie if EE fold they have to find another company to take you on).
Not too bothered about online account management either (what's to manage ?), meter readings can be submitted online. Your bank account is a record of payments made, a statement every 6 months is fine. They aren't taking payments for a month - suits me always best to be slightly in debit with utility companies.0 -
