That, sadly, is my decision too.

Glad to hear you have managed to get closure to your complaint via the ombudsman.

I fear my complaint will end up on their desk too, as so far I have had no response from EE.
(I also instructed by previous supplier to get the supply back via an ET, which it is clear they have done, no real thanks to EE, except they did not object to the ET ... probably didn't even respond if my experience was anything to go by)

If anyone has been following my issues with EE, they paid my £30 'compensation' on 8th June, 21days after the ombudsman proposal (they has 28days to comply) and without prompting.

Finally I can get closure. For the record I am currently with E-On and happy. Will still look for the best deal in September BUT will never go with Extra Energy again, no matter how cheap- not worth the hassle and stress.
Cheerio and best of luck to all.

Glad you're happy with us zwanzig20. Nice to see some positive feedback and thanks for saying this. You know where we are if you need any help/advice going forward. Happy to help. :)

Based earlier comments in this thread by footyguy (e.g. post#2682, #2675, etc) I suspect
    Erroneous Transfer

    Correct KS :)

Actually had a phone call today from EE, first contact from them in ages, confirming the ET had gone ahead. No mention of when though, but the previous supplier who actually arranged it all (I asked both of them to do it as I knew EE wouldn't) told me last month it was effective on the 1st as they wanted a meter reading for that date too.

I'm afraid I spoke too soon and the incompetence of EE appears to know no bounds.

Today I received an email from EE stating there is an outstanding balance on my account and threatening to share details with a credit reference agency! I log onto Myextraenergy and my balance is nil - which it is.

I settled the corrected bill in full on 26th May 2016.
They paid my £30 compensation on the 8th June which I hoped had brought an end to this saga.

    Sigh...

So what details can they share with a credit reference agency? That you have a nil balance, that they paid you compensation ?!!!!

My account shows that I have a credit balance of £44.83 despite the fact that EE refunded this to me on 4 January this year.

Given their accuracy and competence to date I wouldnt be surprised if they told them I was a serious uncreditworthy defaulter with masses of debt...
