We are a Direct Debit customer and recently asked ExtraEnergy for a paper or email payment schedule or invoice for our accounts, given that their internet portal was still not available. They have been deducting Direct Debits since the beginning of June and have thus far only confirmed, on request, how much is for gas and how much for electricity.

Their reply was that they have not actually issued any invoices yet and that all customers will receive an invoice and/or statement by the end of September.

Until then (assuming this too does not slip) surely the firm is in breach of their licence conditions and Direct Debit Guarantee? Does that apply across the whole of their customer base?

Perhaps the rep would like to comment?

Having transferred to them in early may I won't be holding my breath on that promise. (I am usually wrong but we will see)

What a complete and utter shambles this company is turning out to be.
I was told that my invoice would be sent via email beginning of September and now they are saying something completely different.

Also I got them to read out to me all meter readings and payments I have made.

I keep trying to find a better deal with another company but nothing at the moment but as soon as i find something I'm off.

Also whatever happened to this EE rep who seems to have taken flight. Again totally useless.

I was with EDF on their Blue Price Promise June 2014 and was originally paying £119/mth for both gas & electric, but this went down after some time to £112/mth. As it was due to run out we shopped around on a price comparison website which came back with Extraenergy being a lot cheaper, so we switched to their September 2015 fixed price. I have just had an email from Extraenergy to confirm that my Direct Debit is now set up and the monthly payment is £196!
I'm seriously puzzled as to how I'm supposed to save £200/yr when my monthly payments have gone up by £84.
    Can anyone explain?

The world and his wife can speculate but just phone them. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Get them to check the readings they have.

However its possible it is higher because you are switching late in the year and you would not build up enough credit in the Summer months to see you through the winter period.

Still waiting for that illusive bill.

Was asked if I wanted to enter a formal complaint.

Apart from the whole matter being tedious and time consuming, I still have my money in my bank account which should have been in theirs at the beginning of July, so who's complaining!:)

A lot of people moan about NPower but I regret ever leaving them.
I use to pay every qtr and the arrangement was by variable dd.
However I use to pay on receipt of my bill and was able to pay by my cash back credit card and that stopped the dd taking any money for that qtr.

I liked the idea of EE because of the cheaper price and they advertised the account could be managed online.

One good thing I received my £40 today for going through
    Energyhelpline.

However when I find a better offer I will have great pleasure in ditching them.

    Yipee it's arrived.

The statement was correct, so nothing to worry about on that score.

Setup internet banking in favour of EE and paid what I owed.

The only fly in the ointment (still) is the lack of a facility to see a summary of bills and payments to enable me to confirm they've received the payment. One day perhaps and in 2015 hopefully!

That is great news. Hopefully it will not now be long before we can manage our accounts online but we all know better than to hold our breath.

This company comes as the best price for my gas and electricity but after reading some of the comments I'm a bit dubious about switching especially with Vancreef and the issue he's come across. So now the company are up and running would you recommend them?
