Ah, the ever helpful Sunil! I'm starting to think of you as the nephew I've never had! :rotfl:

The reason I mentioned supplying the readings is to indicate that I have done over and above what is required. You see, a few days after I supplied the final reading, I got a call (at work!) from EE asking me to read the meters. I was able to tell the caller that I had read them on my last day with them and read them over the phone again. The caller was amazed that I could give her these readings from my office, lol.

I have also checked with my new supplier and they are saying they are supplying my energy now, so they must have informed EE of my readings officially.

I do remember the E-on rep's post, which was very helpful, as they always are. (If only EE could have had the customer service levels displayed by the E-on MSE reps!)

  • I have now received my final bill from EE. It states this is my first bill as they have cancelled one I received previously and credited the amount back onto my account. I have had to phone them as the bill is wrong, I've also emailed them but they haven't responded.
This bill covers Apr 2014 to Apr 2015 which is when I switched, however since it is now Oct 2015 can they charge me for the energy used from Apr 2014 to Oct 2014 under the back billing?

just got an email from EE saying :
Your final bill is being generated and should be emailed to you within the next few days, I will keep you posted . . . . .
@ Maxwell007 I take it by your lack of an update that the email turned out to be just another in a long line of lies from Extra Energy?

Website is fine here. Still no final bill, 5 weeks and counting.
    d. We will take all reasonable steps to send you your final bill within six weeks of the transfer to your new supplier being completed.
Should I go for a complaint after 6 weeks is up .................. I am desperate for my 19p refund :D

Snap but they owe me slightly more than 19p. It's not the money here, it's the principle of the thing and in my view deliberately holding on to my money amounts to theft.

You can guarantee that the interest they earn on our money by deliberately withholding credit refunds for a set period of time will have been carefully built into their business plan. Every penny counts as they say.

Waiting to complain only delays the eventual outcome and I'm not waiting any longer. They've had more than enough time to produce the final bill and refund the money - !!!!!! it's an automated process that requires the press of a button and literally takes milliseconds.

Being an Extra Energy customer has been an appalling experience with nothing but complaints from start to finish. Why on earth would they change the habits of a lifetime with the final bill and credit refund?

I'm still firmly of the opinion that they haven't a clue what they're doing and are completely unfit to be an energy supplier in this country.

Sod 'em! Yet another well earned customer complaint to add to their already abysmal record will be inbound before the end of today.
