    Hi FBO :wave:

    Are you going to mop your kitchen floor again before next Tuesday? If you say "Yes" then I'll promise to mop our utility floor which after 9 months is absolutely gross :o

    Love the dungarees Piggers :D

    Wow can't believe what I've done today. Normally having DH home for the week means I don't get as much done but he has been upstairs playing with his trains etc and I've been encased in the kitchen :D Have completely gutted my kitchen from top to toe, and even rearranged things around :D

    Well done on the kitchen, Natty :T Your lawn looks lovely - what is in the cage to the left, and what is the yellow shrub on the right?

    Our carpenter is coming at about 8.00 am today, so it will be early breakfast for us! I shall leave him putting up shelves in the study-bedroom and the curtain rail in the DR, and go and get whatever timber he needs for boxing in pipes and supporting the worktop, while DH puts the 2nd coat of emulsion on the utility wall where the worktop has to be fitted over the WM and TD. 2 days' work by the carpenter will knock a dozen things off my Toots list and move us forward again.

    SW this morning. I was tempted by a dark chocolate digestive yesterday evening at the old wives' group, and it was delicious, but I was very happy to stop at one!

    No point in starting any flying upstairs today until the bedroom shelves are done, and I can't do any washing because we had to disconnect the WM in order to move it out from the wall (and then clear half an inch of old plaster dust from where it had been standing :eek:). The kitchen and LR can be tidied in a matter of minutes and only need a quick once-over with the duster. The DR needs more attention because of the dust from the utility, but as we have friends coming to a meal on Thursday evening it will need a good clean beforehand anyway ;)

    I am on a roll with gardening, 1 m² at a time - however, before I can do any more, I need to empty three large trugs full of weeds and also get rid of a pyracantha branch or six, and our green bin is already full, so I shall have to take a trip to the tip this afternoon. One of my friends has offered me two clematis montana, which will cover a boring fence very nicely, so I must call at her house and pick them up too :)

    Morning all, well done Natty, the garden looks great. Good job FBO, feels good to gobble a frog doesn't it? Here is what is left on my list to get on with after the school run and before the lent group at lunchtime;

    Fizzw, sack the window cleaners, I did, as they caused so much mess / damage, there must be others in your area, ask your neighbours, who their window cleaners are, you don't have to put up with it.

    I would if I could! We live in a block of 6 flats and the window cleaning is part of the service charge -- the breakdown says it costs £120 a year :eek: I could undoubtedly get a better cleaner much cheaper but as I understand it, all 6 flats have to agree to 'opt out' of the service and I suspect it'd cost a lot more than £120 for the top two flats to get done, so I think we're stuck with them.

    I have a Karcher window vac and as we're ground floor I just tend to harrumph around in the gardens after they've been.

    AF arrived, as anticipated, I had a very poor sleep and I'm ever so grumpy as a result. Off to the paid stuff and the dentist today which I'm sure isn't helping my mood!

    BIL has dropped off door handle samples for us to look through; soon enough we will be rid of the hated white ceramic door knobs :T:j They drive me mad, and I will be so glad to see the back of them.

    No. Because that would be aiding and abetting you in procrastinating about the work you have to do for Monday. (That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.)

    I did mop the bathroom and cloakroom floors as I had the bucket out. Go me. I'm ahead of the list ;-)
