ERUDIO student loans help

Hey elwoodblues... Are you saying you applied for deferment the first year Erudio took over the loans (march 14) but have not applied since?
Your first deferment should have been authorised as it sounds from what you have described that you met your obligations. Just forget for one moment that Erudio are in breach of contract for not giving you deferment, when would that deferment have run out and your second application go in?Paying for uni to get a job... just to get a job to pay for uni0 -
If they'd accepted my deferment, that would have taken me up to April/May 2015, so I'm a year behind with deferment requests. A really stupid mistake to make, but I just couldn't face their harrasment after all the trouble I had the first time. I never missed a deferment deadline with SLC.0

Only real option is to take them to court for breach of contract, or wait for them to take you to court and use breach as defence.
Did you send everything by recorded delivery?"Love you Dave Brooker! x"

I might be being dim here, but in what way have they beached the contract?
I think I used recorded delivery, but they replied to my letters anyhow, so they can't deny receiving them.0 -
Here's an article that's just appeared in The Guardian which will be of particular interest to everyone who has had to wrangle with Erudio. http://www.theguardian.com/money/blog/2016/may/28/student-loans-next-mis-selling-scandal0

Thanks for that link FuriousFeline.
Heres the twatter feed for the author, Patrick Collinson, if any one wants to twaat him and tell him of any misselling gone on with our loans. His criteria for misselling is quite broad at the end of his article, so being sold to private business groups without being told clearly it might happen when we signed for the loan is one such thing that fits his parameters, let alone all the other good arguments put forward on these pages. So let him know!

Is this any help in the fight against Erudio/Carval and their way of doing business?

Pluthero,
All sorted and defered until my next due date on the 14th August 2016.
I'm going to phone them this afternoon so I will report back as to what they say.

Right, I've just been on the phone and from the very beginning, after the usual ID rigmarole, I'm annoyed by the use of an Americanism. She says, "How are you doing today?" - Foff off!
Anyway, as is the usual, they can't tell me anything in the here and now and she says something about there being a possible 'gap' somewhere, whatever that means, and that she'll email her colleague and they'll get back to me in a couple of days. She says not to worry about any interest that will begin accrueing tomorrow (1/6/16) as she's on the ball, so to speak, and, as mentioned, is emailing her colleague.
I can't wait to see what doesn't happen.

Update: Received the usual Notice of Default letter so I'm going to send off a letter telling them I've kept to my agreement so they either take me to court or stop sending me letters about arrears. Will update once they reply to my letter.0
