ERUDIO student loans help

It might also be worth mentioning the delay in Erudio telling what the new deferment date was. They only told us it had been moved to June at the last minute. Also the cost and inconvenience of chasing up Erudio with emails, telephone calls etc.
You also might want to forward the links to the article on MSE and The Guardian to FOS. Point out the policy on deferment date extension changed from the 56 day extension as they told MSE at the outset. Lots of confusion there.0 -
As the adjudicator has not taken these facts in to account, I would reject the decision and ask an ombudsman to look at it. Make a new statement to clarify that these factors have not been addressed. As the adjudicator has given you sweet fanny adams you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Highlight the fact you are not there to chase Erudio to make it aware of its obligations to you. The time and anxiety of waiting for them to pull their finger out their backsides is worthy of comment if not compensation.Paying for uni to get a job... just to get a job to pay for uni0 -
In my last FOS complaint, Erudio rejected the adjudicator's decision to award me £75 compensation and insisted the ombudsman reconsider.
The ombudsman did indeed decide £75 was the wrong figure and awarded £150 instead. Poor Erudio0 -
hahaha... nice one GinOClock... and as others have said elsewhere on here adjudicators have very random rationale at times. In my own FOS complaints to date, I have always had to escalate to an ombudsman before I even get close to settlements that bring Erudio down to earth again! As more time goes by, I am sure we will see more cases from the FOS on Erudio's late DAF debacle... and their haphazard attempts at regulation.Paying for uni to get a job... just to get a job to pay for uni0

Just after a bit of advice. My wife has today received a letter from Erudio which is a "Notice of Default" and apparently she has until 26th June to pay the debt in full.
She is well within the deferment threshold but has not been able to send a letter (Erudio didn't send a DAF) due to the fact that she is off work sick and has not been sent any wage slips from her employer for months. Ironically, she received these today also.
Just wanted to know what her options are? Can she still send the letter proving she can defer?

Can you provide a bit more detail please?
1) When did she last defer her loan(s)?
2) Has she received any other paperwork from Erudio for example the Notice of Assignment and has she ever had any annual statements from them? Does she have all her annual statements from SLC?
Answers to the above questions will help in getting the best advice.Paying for uni to get a job... just to get a job to pay for uni0 -

Hi there,
She has never "officially" deferred with Erudio because she would not fill out their form, so she sent a letter with 3 wage slips which we thought if they were ever bold enough to take her to court she could prove that she had supplied them all the info. She used to defer which SLC every year with no problems.
I believe she has had a couple of arrears letters in the past from Erudio but we disregarded them because they should have deferred her anyway! I'm pretty sure she has all annual statements from SLC
Just wondered is sending a letter now is worthwhile

Nope Dave, as I said she has been waiting for her work to get her wage slips to her which she has received today. She has never been deferred by Erudio anyway so could we argue that there is not really a date to defer anyway?0
