ERUDIO student loans help

Listening to 5Live now, sounds like they'll be discussing student finance in general, no mention of Erudio?

I set up Direct Debits with Erudio last May. I got a txt message 2 weeks ago from them demanding I contacted them urgently. When I contacted them I was told I was 24p in arrears? I was told to send them a cheque for the amount but I don't have a cheque book. So after being on hold for 5 minutes they decided to debit 5 quid from my card and then refund £4.76 within 10 days.

Last week I got a call from them telling me I was in arrears by over £100. When I told them I had direct debits already set up in May I was then told "they're probably to the Student Loans Company". But that assumption came crashing down when I explained I had three letters from Erudio detailing the Direct Debits which were set up in May.

After being put on hold for 5 minutes, the Erudio chap came back to me and advised "yeah, someone in the office cancelled your Direct Debits and nothing has been paid since June, sorry about that". Idiots!

So I cleared the arrears and then they set up the DDs...again!

Flippin' useless company.

On Radio 5 Martin said even he and his team can't get a straight answer from BIS and ONS on the maths and figures used for this.

Martin thinks it's most likely a "horrible coincidence" this year.

Maybe it is (doubt it), but until it's properly justified and explained which the actual calculations, it smells like a 5 years old barrel of rotten kipppers.

Was the Erudio situation covered in any depth just now on 5Live? I've only just tuned in.

They've just been talking about the threshold drop so far.
They've said they're still trying to get in touch with erudio during the show.
Nothing about the issues with lengthy deferments/DDs being taken without notice etc. etc.
