Evening all, So happy its Thursday!! One more day & even better my darling cousin has left her caravan early and offered it to my folks for the weekend (dont know if i mentioned this before) so mum gets a break away and I get the house to myself, peace and quiet, I cant wait! not that I have anything planned but still...Had a good day at work, a NSD, no lunch spend and lost 4,1/4 lbs:j:j A very good day infact...received £100 from an IOU (& a bottle of wine:D) so am adding that to my £10 a day total, will bank on my lunch break,
and apparently by switching to dd my council tax payment will be £40pm not £60 (my share of the full amount) as spread over more months but the smaller payment is better for the budget :j:j ...& company are switching to salary sacrifice pension so thats an extra £9 in my salary next month, every little helps...feeling pretty happy and blessed, one more day until the weekend and by tomorrow lunch time my debt will be under the 20k mark (only just but still) Im so excited!! cant wait to pay it in and change my signature :j:j Hope everyones having a wonderful evening xX

Happy Saturday folks... so Today I received £3.97 form quidco, and yesterday £20 from an iou and £20 to drop my parents to the worlds end, I say this as yesterday it took me 4hours (dropping them there and driving back, which was £20 of petrol and im going to have to do the same tomorrow) Still it was unexpected income so has been added to the £10pd total and sent to cc2...The peacefulness here is delicious! its so quiet, Ive already cleaned, went to the bank, put a load of washing on, went to the chemist for some shampoo, which was supposed to cost £5.49 and she charged me £2, how lovely was that!! No one was at the bank either, no queue, today is a good day indeed. Going to was & treat my hair (needs it but cant go to hairdresser...not this month, saving my pennies) gonna make a nice cup of tea and relish that I have a free day...Today will be treatments , study and a visit to my nan's..just to see theyre both alright...okies thats all I have to update...Ill be back later, have a fun and fab Saturday everyone xDFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

Happy Monday Folks,
Awoke with the sun is streaming through my window and I sense Itll be a good day, freshly made cup of tea in bed...This weekend was ok, Saturday I went and visited my nan and went to a house party Saturday, brought a bottle of vodka and wine, which on reflection was silly as I wasnt drinking, generous of me yes frugal of me no! Still everyone had a fab time, I left early as I had to pick family up from "worldsend" cue another £20 of petrol, my car has guzzled £60 petrol this month 3x the usual, was given another £20 toward the cost which was sweet!! Went to church then home, feeling rested and happy.
My acount has about £40 left (after rent) I think, need to hold off and make that last, If i still have it by the 25th then its going to cc, just dont want to risk going overdrawn, 6p cashback on 123 ac...not much but its income so im happy.
Today will freeze my pension for a couple of months, although the salary sacrifice gains me £9 extra if I froze it until I pay off cc2 ill gain an extra £60 a month thats a 1% payment for cc2, I will forfeit the company contribution but a couple of months wont hurt and will be worth it to get rid of cc2 by end of October. So will email HR today and sort that. will add that to my £10 a day total once its been confirmed and Ive had a play with the salary calculator for the exact saving. Best get ready for work, hope everyone has a really lovely day & a great week ahead xDFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

Happy Tuesday, so was a nsd yesterday, I paid £5 to cc2, and spent the day listening to podcasts as I worked. Emailed HR about freezing my pension, may not be possible this month as the sacrifice auto enrollment happening so they may have to freeze it next month, fingers crossed they can do it this month, its going to be an expensive one, few birthdays and car tax due, have already started my next months budget aiming to work every pound I earn...to be honest i just love making budgets its a guilty pleasure. Ok having another attempt at a nsd...have £20 in my purse will take a walk to the bank and pay it in before it burns a hole in my pocket...best get off to work, need to make lunch too...really need to get more organised
...Have a blissful day everyone x

Yesterday paid another £20 to cc2, realised need £126 for rent not £189 as only two more payments until payday. Yesterday was a nsd, spent part of it working out whose birthdays, anniversaries I have until the end of the year and how many presents Ill need to get for xmas...I know way too many people :rotfl: Im still deciding the budget but im thinking a budget of £200 for all of them (ive 36 to buy including 3 secret santa's) everyone will gett one thoughtful, modest gift each That gives me just over £5 each to spend on everyone. Ill be taking advantage of the card factory, boots 2for one and tesco points. My minds on spend mode at the moment but im not letting myself spend anything :rotfl: Another NSD under my belt.:). Pension cant be held so Ill have to work with what I have, Going to be a fun/frugal month...occurred to me Ive never stuck to debt clearing so long, im sure this site has alot to do with it, id normally be out spending money I didnt have...feeling alittle proud of myself today, can see my changing thinking and have more control...still room for improvement though...ok I best get off to work....have a truly blessed day everyone...happy Wednesday

Evening diary land,
Didnt quite manage a NSD today, brought a food shop, as the cupboards were getting a bit bare, did it online and got only the essentials spent £50, star buys included 2 whole chickens, frozen chicken fillets, 20 frozen sausages and a bacon joint...instead of nibbly bits in the fridge (sausage rolls, scotch eggs, porkpies etc) I brought the family a pack of frozen party sausage rolls get 50 for less than the price of 10 ready to eat, figured can just cook some and leave them in the fridge, saving pennies where I can. That was the only treat buy, every thing else was essential food staples for meals really...Easier shopping online as you can put things back, I had to do that..gone were my falafel bites, yummy cheeses, salmon slices, wineThose will have to wait till were in better shape lol
I really need to contribute more as I figure my mums struggling financially, so I made a decision, Ill do more basic shops and will cover the whole council tax bill (pretty much do anyway if im honest). This will free her up to sort her stuff out and not ask me to borrow money all the time. Really trying to get her to prioritise& see things from my point of view. Tonights a classic example, walk through the door first thing im asked is can I borrow her £60 for a bill, I say no as I just brought the shopping and borrowed her funds for the last 2 bills (also £60 each)...fast forward a few hours she tells me, she has the money for the bill but she and my dad are is going out for dinner with her friend and her husband...Honestly how does that make sense?! lol!...heres an idea stay home and pay the bill with your own money:idea:..I have come to the conclusion that common sense in my household isnt very common, I love them to bits but our thinking is very different.
Bottom line though if I was renting somewhere it would cost me an arm and a leg & it doesn't this way I just pay for half the bills/rent etc (even though theres 3 adults in the house but its their house so Im not going to grumble). Still cant complain as its less than what id pay elsewhere and its allowing me to clear up my financial mess and sort my life out more quickly. So Im going to draw a line under amounts owed to me as in all honesty ill never get it back and if I did it'll only be borrowed again. Im not borrowing out any more money to anyone as that'll stop me getting the hump when I see money wasted...as dave ramsey says the borrower is slave to the lender and all my relationships will be a lot better if Im not constantly bailing people out and used as a walking cash point.....
Wow Im grumbly today! sorry I dont mean to be, believe it or not ive had a really nice day and am quite happy, just find my families attitude to money exasperating and comical sometimes...they're actually worse with money than I am sometimes...In other news its only 16 days till payday!! just over 2 weeks...not long left and £16 to last me till then...NSD will be a necessity for the rest of the month...I have one night out for work in the mean time (gonna need some extra income somehow) Have completed my monthly budget for September already, the monies already been spent in my mind, every pound has a job & its job is to sort this situ out so I can get the hell outta here & into my own digs

Afternoon Diaryland, Hope your all having a great weekend...Today is another stay home dont spend day, Ive made no debt payments (accounts empty till pay day) have been to the bank, paid my bills, had a tidied up...checked my bank statement. Actually noticed that Mr T overcharged me £6 for my online shop. Caveat on order states this can happen due to due to price changes and end of deals, called up as i made a really basic shop, no deals no frills so couldn't see how there could be a £6 hike. Spoke to a nice lady who also couldn't see the reason for overcharge and refunded me the balance. I'm glad I phoned to query it, the old me wouldn't have done such a thing, new mse me budgets and counts pennies...Nothing really to report other than that, its been quiet my end, really cant wait till payday, car tax bill has arrived £130 (£5 increase on last years kmt) oh well will sort it once I get paid...Enjoy the sunshine xDFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

Hi Shelbi, if you don't mind me saying, do you think if your family knew you wern't going to bale them out then they would have to sort themselves out. Don't think I ambeing intrusive but you are trying so hard and asking for bill money and then telling you they are going out for a meal is a bit of a p**s take. Apologies in advance if this offends.
Did you manage to get a course at your church of the Dave Ramsey kind?Because someone we love is in Heaven There is a little piece of Heaven in our Home :A

Hi Nannytomany,
I dont mind at all and your not being intrusive, its true they would be more careful with their money if they didnt have me as insurance, They will learn this month though as I told them no and they still both went out, I babysat my kid sis as I was in anyway and to be honest they will do what they feel like doing, but I am 100% not paying that bill. Infact I had sat my mum down and explained to her that I will take on the council tax payment (its coming from my account as dd) and will do a basic shop, meals no frills) but im not loaning her any money under any circumstances. I have no idea how she will pay it but I do know it wont be from my account. So now all I have to do is stick to it, which I really will, they need to be more responsible and I havent been helping them by being the go to person. I really appreciate your honesty and directness hun, its nice to know Im not being unreasonable if im honest (can be a bit of a soft touch sometimes, but im working on it (fast)). The bank of Shelbi is officially closed
No It hasnt started yet, apparently the course runs at some point throughout the year, I think I missed it as I looked on the agenda for the rest of the year and its not there, asked a minister and he said the pastor runs it but its more when he feels the congregation need it, I may have to have a word as I am in need hehe. I suspect it wont be until early next year, though I have kept going as I like it there learning lots of other stuff..when it does run ill let you know. Really hope its soon.
It really is good to have you back Nannytomany, speak to you soon xXDFD-01.03.2018:starmod: :T

Hiya Shelbi,
I read your last post and actually said "good for you" out loud. Standing up to family is really hard, so you did well.
I'm really rooting for you to be debt free and looking forward to watching your savings grow for your own place.
