...small bowl of vegetable soup though.

You can't get good cheeses there or I'd suggest a Stilton soup.

You don't just get over this stuff in a day or two. I need to give myself time to get over it both physically and mentally. The surgeon told me that it would take 12-18 months for me to recover fully from the surgery. I have the radiotherapy to get over on top of that.

How are your Employers treating you? Are they giving you the support you need?

At least you've got most of the treatment over. I hope your recovery period is more rapid, but imagine it must help having that to now focus on.

As I say, wishing you a speedy recovery. After all you've been through, that's the least you should expect!

There are fruit juices that are alkaline such as appricot, cherry, and sweet (not cooking) apple juices. Don't know if you could tolerate them?

All I really want to drink right now is huge quantities of water. Maybe 3-4 litres a day.

So eventually they had eye tests. Their vision was fine but they are both colour blind. Who would have thought? Specially as DS2 had won art prizes.

You might be interested in this review of a new exhibition at the National Gallery.

How about juicing veggies, then watering the juice down further with water so it's blander? I'm worrying that you're not getting the vitamins you need. Dodgy hugs from Bwlchtocyn :grouphug:

PS or maybe juice strawberries and cream and add some sugar to counteract any acidity?

    I've been Money Tipped!
The exhibition I want to see right now is making colour at national gallery. On my recommendation fil went there and said its really good, so I'm doubly wishing I could get there now.

That's the one I gave the link for. Me too! But we're not planning to go to London before mid October, going to a talk at Persephone Books given by my friend DoveGreyReader. With the sailing (not me I hasten to add - rest of family) and caravan and trying to get old home on market I just don't think we'll be able to make it.

Really wanted to go to the Matisse Cut-outs too, but in a wheelchair it's hard to see stuff if it's crowded (and I gather it's very crowded). But I did love the Matisse and his fabrics (or whatever it was called) that we saw at the RCA? a few years ago.

To each their own! :) I'm not too keen on these blockbuster ones that cost an arm and a leg, but we have some wonderful galleries and museums around Merseyside that have small and interesting and usually free exhibitions (Tate Liverpool is mostly exception to the free stuff for their extra exhibitions). And most of them have cafes that do really good tea and Cakes! :j Nice Sunday afternoon outing! :)

Bet you'd enjoy the Maritime Museum!
