Chambers and solicitors have them - lots of things can be sent by fax, but not by email. Like grounds of appeal, skeleton arguments, etc...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Happy birthday Bugs!
NDG, I'll be back mid August.
For Viva (and any other Eurovision nuts), I'm in Kaliopi Grill now......No wonder she dropped her last name.
Right, home, and to bed. Speak later💙💛 💔0 -
Faxing facilities are often available in public libraries if that helps Pastures. Just looked. There's one in the main library in Poole, worth phoning to check its working if it's a special journey. £1.00 for first page, 50p we page thereafter to send. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? "People" .... don't have faxes to hand ... they're so old fashioned. I've not even seen one in a workplace for over 10 years! And they were always a nightmare to use, with problems, jams, dodgy lines, etc.
We still have one! It;s easier than faffing scanning. paper in, press two buttons and off it goes, versus waiting for it to scan, retrieving it from documents, attaching it to an email and sending it. way faster!:p
I can remember when faxes were becoming common and people moaning that they were too modern and not legally important enough to be able to take over from the more expensive telex. If anyone remembers that!
We don't!
I used to work for an Irish freight forwarder waaaaay back in the 80s and they had one of the first fax machines. The sales people used to bring potential clients in to our office and there would be this big revelation as people looked at a piece of paper that had been sent from Dublin. *shock horror awe *:D It makes me feel so old when I think back to that being revolutionary:o0 -
I think I'm right in saying that the fax machine predates the telephone.
I went up to the city and had fish n chips with my BiL and FiL. That was loads of fun. He's sent me back with some beef that he cooked in his sous vide machine. It looks delicious!0 -
Count me out on that one.
Eggs and mushrooms are definitely on my YUK list!
I'm a veggie, but sausagemeat has never in pre veggie times held much appeal unless very well made. Not keen on eggs either. I may get a lot wrong with my diet, particularly my addiction to sugar, but my lack of egg and meat eating at least give me very good cholesterol levels. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Egg, 2 bacon, sausage, mushrooms, fried slice, beans and toast/coffee for £4.50, plus decent, Turkish-speaking management is my absolute favorite in the UK.
Add black pudding and a kidney or two and I'm there.
I'm quite partial to a bit of lamb's liver with brekkie too. Nom.0
