Ha, yeah I just need a job full stop. Had a phone call from a recruiter this morning who'd seen my CV and had a position I might be interested in (I am!) so hopefully something will come of that.
It's beggar all money, but it would be good until I can find something else. The other downside is it would be here in my hometown and I really want to move.
What are you doing at the moment? Are you working while you wait?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Probably wrong, but I think Masomnia is studying (MSc. ?)
Edit: actually, more likely to be an MA. If indeed he is even still studying.0 -

I like an infusion of rosemary. Its tastes of clean health and energy.0 -
Youngest off to a taster day at the college he will hopefully be going to in September....he hasn't slept.
Blooming school, found out yesterday that they should have provided a TA to go with him and guess what, they haven't. So the staff won't know him, he won't know them and they won't have any idea what makes him tick/keeps him calm/stresses him out apart from the information given in his application (which was limited to so many words when pages and pages are needed).
I'm driving him up there instead of him going on the college bus (they have their own dedicated one) as the thought of getting on the bus completely freaked him out...this does not bode well for September but at least it will give us the opportunity to discuss with the SENCO team the most important aspects.
Unfortunately, staying where he is with staff he knows is not possible, they are not doing the course he wants (nothing special, just ICT with coding) but more importantly, they have stated they cannot guarantee he will receive support in 6th form despite his statement. Going on what has been going on since the move to the new build, the support he will receive if he stayed, would be next to nothing....45 mins support since Easter when he is supposed to get 25 hours a week.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I do understand that moving will be very difficult for him, but the up side of that is that the new place just might turn out not to be totally negligent and incompetent like his current school.
Hoping a praying that he gets on better than expected today and that you have an awesome day meeting a fabulous SENCO who really listens and takes on board what you have to say about Youngest.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Sue, I really think you should find out if they have been claiming funding for support that they have not been providing for Youngest. Because if they have it's fraud and as a taxpayer I don't want them to get away with it. Please report them.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Gen, really pleased that this awful stage is nearly over. Please don't try to do too much over the next few days. i would think there is a real danger of the euphoria of having completed the treatment luring you into a wellness that the body can't cope with yet.

My hay fever, having disappeared for 2 years, has returned.
Yesterday morning I took a non-drowsy anti-histamine and promptly fell asleep!
I've also been badly bitten on my arm, at least 10 times, by some horrid insect.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
