I want to reassess my life after this. I have too much stress going on which I don't like, want or need. I work in a job wherr I'm always sorting out stuff that's gone wrong. It's challenging but sometimes basically impossible.
Interesting.
Occasionally before you've dropped hints about having ideas of what else you might like to do. Us NP will look forward to hearing more.
Hope today's session and the final one aren't too bad. It will be great to see you posting about how your mouth etc are gradually getting better.
Oh, and have another dodgy hug just to keep you topped up with them: :grouphug:Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Really like this one, not heard of this particular band, bit after my time, but the track is good and he covers the drums well.
Does he have endorsements from all the manufacturers listed at the beginning of the video, or are they an acknowledgement of the equiptment he is using? And does he have a double bass kit or is he using a double pedal. Can't tell from the camera angle.
Thanks for that, he is not endorsed by anyone, it is more of a visual guide of the branded equipment he is using.
As for the bass, it's a double pedal...a DW9000 which was £750 new (we got it secondhand and paid nowhere near that!), you can still get them now for circa £500 new.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Waiting, waiting. The burns are getting worse: the burns themselves woke me up last night; I don't think that's happened before.
.
Sorry to read this.they'll be healing soon. I'm trying to imagine how it feels, the burn. Is it like hand hit the top of the grill unprotected or like hot sugar? ( I shpuld really buy some sort of heat proof mitts to cook in)

Thanks for all the encouraging comments, people. I am happy but v tired tonight - despite being a day when basically not very much happened for ages at a time, it has nevertheless left me quite drained, so all those lovely comments were particularly appreciated.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? 14 down, 1 to go!!!
As to the burns. You know how when you crash your bike as a kid there's that skin under your skin? My mum used to call it 'the flesh'.
Imagine getting sunburn of that. It's sunburn under your skin. It's really part of you.0 -

Soon be over, gen! Treat yourself. Does mint tea have any effect (assuming you can bear hot drinks or, instead, can you bear it ?

When my daughter was a toddler I had a friend with a son of the same age. He was a little s*d, a complete houdini and could undo/climb out of every child seat strap known to man. He could not be reasoned with.
For a time his mum resorted to strapping him in and then wrapping him in bungee straps and a large net whilst in his car seat. It worked.
Her job...child protection:)
Josh was an escapologist (sp?), on his buggy we had several restraints and for his car seat, he had no less than 5 different restraints including one designed for special needs children....he still managed to get out of all of them.
Mind you, he was also the child who managed to escape from school not once but several times, once by bypassing the door security system (little blighter had watched a teacher put the code in) and once by jumping a jump proof (well jump proof by less than an 11 year old supposedly) fence. When they put the fence up I told them Josh would have no trouble escaping it , they didn't believe me and said it was not possible and the very next day, up and over he went! They were the more notable occasions of escaping, the others were before they tried to escape proof the exits.....We made it! Lydia, spirit, dodgy hugs
I'm having chamomile tea which is nice. I don't think it helps or hinders TBH but it's nice and that's no bad thing.
That's a very dodgy hug.0 -
