We have four remaining bottles with us... Champagne. Syrah. Merlot. Pouilly Fume.
I've drunk Pouilly Fume twice and wow, I could get used to it! Unfortunately I've never seen it on special offer ... !We thought we would move around as we had a motor home however got to treyarnon bay and stayed put! The only drinking hole was the yha. We have our dog with us so posh was out. I took some food with me...hm. Bread. Chicken & leek pie, asparagus &. Chorizo quiche, terrine plus cooked breakfast and rib eyesteaks & lamb chops.
Tonight. We needed pub food.
How was the YHA? Stayed there on my last holiday in 2002 or 2003. Have they painted it since then?!0 -

Don't forget the soft cheese in tubes, Primula? Sometimes with flavoured bits in them (pineapple? ham?), although those might have been early 80's?
And Angel Delight.... Butterscotch flavour was actually OK.
Cup-A-Soup too, that was the 70's.
And salad cream.... Vile stuff.
Now you're talking. I remember those ham pieces in primula. And Butterscotch Angel Delight was the tops - still love it (though often go for vanilla as an alternative).
I adored salad cream and lettuce sandwiches when I was still of school age. My taste buds have grown up a little since then0 -

Primula squirted onto Ritz biscuits was what you got at a "posh" engagement party or 18th.
Loved Angel Delight, especially butterscotch flavour.
Love salad cream.... I like boiled egg/salad cream sandwiches ... or fish finger/salad cream .... and I use salad cream in potato salad. I had egg/salad cream yesterday and today in a pitta bread
Salad cream is the only "salad dressing" I've ever had0 -
Vesta Curry was ace!
They're not that kind of bugs.

Paul Temple was the voice of Captain Scarlet and Shaggy.Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

I love salad cream, yet mayo became the product that has been pushed in sandwiches etc.... and I really can't find anything exciting in it at all.... I've sometimes got some in, but whenever it's used I feel disappointed.
I've also felt "guilty" over the years for liking egg/salad cream sandwiches (not egg mayo) .... somehow mayo marketing seemed to make people look down on salad cream.
I definitely prefer potato salad with salad cream as it's tastier.... and with other things. It's just got a nice taste.
I also love cheese/salad cream and crisp sandwiches.
Mayo really doesn't cut it. I'll "allow" mayo with tuna in sandwiches or on jacket spuds, but after that I'm a bit stumped for enthusiasm for it.0
